The Blue Angel Weekly

December 5, 2022

Dear PCA Families,

We hope you enjoyed the weekend! As a reminder, this week our Children's Mass has been changed to Thursday since it is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Mass will start at 9:40 AM.

Important Information about the Christmas Program - Grades PK -5

Students in grade PreK-5 will perform in their annual Christmas program on December 15th, 2022. The performance will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 5:00 p.m. Students should arrive by 4:45 p.m. wearing their red or green Christmas best. Boys should wear a nice pair of dress pants with a dress shirt or polo. Girls can wear a dress, skirt, or a nice pant suit. All shoes should have a closed toe (no sandals) for your child’s safety. All dress down day rules apply. When you arrive, one parent should sign your child in with their teacher in the Cultural Center. Once your child is signed in, you can go and get a seat in the church for the performance. Please do not arrive earlier than 4:30 p.m.; the doors to the Cultural Center will not be open earlier than that. Please note:

All PreK students will meet in the church – not the Cultural Center.

Adoration at PCA

We are excited to offer Adoration in our PCA chapel this Thursday, December 8th starting at 10:30 after our Children's Mass. As you know we will need to have at least 2 people in the chapel at all times during Adoration. If you would like to sign-up to ensure the Blessed Sacrament is not alone, please do so on the Sign-Up Genius below. Students will be going to Adoration as well. You may still attend even if there are no open slots on the Sign-Up Genius! Our chapel can hold up to 50 people.

A Message for Parents from HSA about Faculty Christmas Presents

Dear Parents,

As we have entered Advent and are preparing for Christmas, we know many of you send in gifts for our staff. Over the years, many of you have asked members of the HSA how to find out about teacher preferences to help guide your holiday shopping. Should any of you want specific ideas for your child's teachers, the HSA has compiled a spreadsheet (see below to download) of teacher preferences that may assist you in your holiday shopping. Please know that your gifts are in no way expected, but always very much appreciated by the teachers and staff.

We wish you all a blessed Christmas season!

Sincerely,

The Palmer HSA

Advent Service Project

We will be putting together Shoeboxes of Love for the homeless as a schoolwide service project. Each class is assigned an item to bring in to fill the shoeboxes by the end of this week. Boxes will be assembled for delivery on Monday, December 12th. Please see below for the list of items by class. Items are small and fairly inexpensive. It may be nice for students to use money from their own piggy banks to purchase the item. Students who participate will have an holiday-themed dress down day on December 20th.

Siblings of positive cases may continue coming to school as long as they are not exhibiting ANY symptoms. Please use good judgment when sending siblings to school based on the amount of exposure they have had with the positive sibling.
