October 2014 Minutes for Moms
Message from the President
The Doylestown area has so much to offer this time of year, so we have put together an eventful calendar for all to enjoy this month. We tried to vary up the days, times, and types of events to appeal to everyone's interests and schedules. If there are certain days of the week or times that you are looking for events to be scheduled, or that you strongly prefer please let me know. Also if there is a certain event that you would like to see go on the calendar in the next few months be sure to let me or one of the board members know. Let's have a great month- bring on the fall festivities!

Please welcome Kari Borowiecki to the group. She and her husband Jay recently moved to the area with their 12 month old son Jakob. Kari enjoys travel, cooking, music, arts and outdoor activities. She is interested in joining a playgroup and can be reached at email@example.com.
Please welcome to the club Julia Levy and her two year old son, Ben (and her hubby, Brian too). Julia was referred to us by Noel de la Pena (thanks Noel) and is also a member of Mommies and Babies of Doylestown. When she is not busy with her son, she is running her business Sweet Sisters Cupcake Boutique which specializes in cupcakes in a jar (a really sweet treat). She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to getting to know you!
Ann Marie Manelski: I sell Thirty-one and Scentsy in my spare time!
Hallie Torrell Saxena: I was a US Peace Corps volunteer and lived in Ukraine for 2 1/2 years.
Abbe Feledick: Last year saw glaciers while on an Alaskan cruise, would love to retire to Cape May, NJ some day, and favorite food/restaurant is Fondu at Melting Pot:).
Kari Borowiecki: Before my husband and I moved to PA in 2012 (we were longtime residents of Boston), we traveled around the word for a year and a half. We quit our jobs, sold our cars, furniture, and a lot of our "stuff", put the rest in storage, and packed 2 backpacks. We ended up going to 26 countries in Oceania, Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America. It was the adventure of a lifetime! I have also lived in Germany, France and England and have traveled to about 50 countries. Before becoming a stay at home mom, my career was in International education at the university level. As you can probably guess, I love to travel and learn about other people and cultures!
Stacey Friedman: I love playing poker and have earned the nickname Black Widow at some tables!
Denise Martin: I help out and volunteer a few hours every other week with the Cat Tales Adoption Agency at the Pet Smart in Warminster. Come and pay me a visit to play with the kitties!
Missy Sanchez: We have moved 8 times in 12 years and lived in 6 states and we are not in the military :)
Lisa Menz: I speak fluent French.
Leslie McGrady: I was on the David Letterman show when I was a sophomore in college. I went on Spring Break to visit my sister in New York and was picked from the crowd to be in a segment at the Hello Deli….
Kellie Horvath: In college I was able to live and study in Australia for a month, and I discovered what an amazing and beautiful country it is..... My happy place is sitting on a quiet beach in the evening during the summer once most people have left to go home, and reading a good book.... I absolutely love dark chocolate and rarely go a day without eating at least a small piece.
Robyn Symons: I am expecting my second child in November! We are thrilled and can’t wait to meet our new little one!
