Principal's Message
Hello, Willow Dale Families,
What an exciting week! This week we welcomed our Cohort A & B students back to school. Staff and students are so happy to be back in the classroom. The students learned about the new processes and procedures for safety and social distancing at school. We are so proud of all our students for wearing masks, following social distancing rules, and keeping their hands clean and sanitized. Check out the information shared with every class here.
This week, we will begin the regular hybrid schedule with Cohort A beginning on Monday and Cohort B coming to school on Thursday. All students will follow a virtual schedule on Wednesdays. See the schedule below.
We have had some requests to switch cohorts. Unfortunately, we cannot do this in every situation due to class sizes and maintaining the six-feet of distancing between desks in every classroom.
Parent drop off and pick up has increased this year. We had over 100 cars on both days. The priority is keeping students safely distanced while also getting them to their cars quickly. Unfortunately, with the volume of cars and students, this process takes a bit longer than in past years. The earliest we can start to dismiss students after school is at 3:20 PM. We ask for your patience as we continue to tweak the process. Please note that bus numbers are down, so this may be an option if you choose to send your student on the bus. Bus information can be found in the newsletter.
Please see the important information from our school nurse, as well as other pertinent information in the newsletter below. Continue to follow the CDC guidelines at home too, so that we can continue to keep our school open.
As always, thank you for your support. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the office.
We look forward to seeing many of our families at the Pumpkin Parade on Friday. Have a Pawsome week!

Important Message from the Nurse's Office
Parents, we need your help to keep our students safe and healthy.
Please remember to check your student for the COVID 5 every morning before they come to school.
If you answer yes to any of the following questions, please keep your student home.
- Do they have a temperature of greater than 100.3?
- Do they have an altered taste or smell?
- Have they been exposed to someone with a lab-confirmed case of COVID 19?
- Are they awaiting test results of a recent COVID 19 test?
- Do they have an unexplained cough or shortness of breath?
Thank you in advance for your support! We are all in this together!

Counselors' Corner
Willow Dale School Counselors are here to help!
We have been providing school counseling services in the virtual environment by doing class lessons and individual counseling using google meets. We will continue to provide these services virtually as it best fit’s the students’ schedules. We will also be able to meet with students in our office depending on student needs. While we do provide counseling in groups and individually, it connects to students’ performance in school. If you feel that your child could benefit from ongoing clinical therapy, we can help connect you to outside community resources.
We are very fortunate to have the ability for more than 6 feet of distance when meeting with students in our office. Please see the pictures for a visual depiction of how this will look. We will not have manipulatives like stress balls or stuffed animals available for kids as we normally would due to COVID restrictions. We will be sanitizing the chair after each student returns to their classroom so that it is ready for the next student. Students will also sanitize their hands upon arrival to our office and return to their classroom.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your child’s counselor.

Nutrition Services Information
All Students are Eligible for a FREE Breakfast & Lunch Daily
The USDA has extended the waiver to continue feeding under the Summer Programs which entitles all children 18 and under to eat for free. These programs have been extended throughout the entire school year. Parents, please continue to apply for free and reduced programs, as this helps with other programs in the district which could benefit families with other programs not related to the district.
CSD food service will continue to feed all children during the school year for FREE under the SFSP. There is nothing further required for the student/parent part in order to receive these free meals. We would like to strongly encourage ALL students to take advantage of these free meals no matter their status of free, reduced, or full pay. ALL kids eat for free. This includes breakfast and lunch. Not only does this benefit the students, but participation will also help support the food service department during these times.
Students will not have to use the keypad for meals. CSD staff will use a generic check-off sheet to keep track of all meal counts. These sheets do not go by student names as we would do with the registers, but by meal counts.
Child Care Arrangement Form
Please email completed forms to wdattendance@centennialsd.org by Monday, October 19, if bus transportation is needed for childcare purposes. Below is a link to the form.

School Safety Drills
We will practice fire, lock-in, lock-out, and weather emergency drills. These drills may or may not be announced. Unannounced drills more accurately indicate the preparedness of the school and the effectiveness of safety procedures. Your child's teacher will review the exercises and procedures with their classes. Please make the teacher aware of any concerns regarding your child's participation in the safety drills.
The Warminster Director of Emergency Management Services and the Warminster Police Department will be invited to observe our drills and provided feedback for improvement.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Perkins or Mr. Julius.

Family Trips Scheduled During the School Year
Dear Centennial Families;
The Centennial School District Board of School Directors approved Policy 204.1, Family Trips Scheduled During School Year.
Although the scheduling of family trips during the instructional year is not encouraged, the Centennial School Board recognizes that students may benefit educationally by accompanying their parent(s)/guardian(s) on trips. The revision to the policy will allow the schools to approve up to five (5) days instead of three (3). Any trip beyond five (5) days will need the approval of the Superintendent.
Parent(s)/Guardian(s) who are requesting approval for a family trip need to complete and submit the attached form to their building principal at least two (2) weeks before the trip.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dr. Perkins or Mr. Julius.
