SWE STAR GAZER
Together, We Shine With Excellence
**May 26 Edition**
We have made it to the last week of this truly unusual year!! Throughout the ups and downs, all of us at SWE have appreciated your continued support. While we wish the year could have ended differently, we treasure the face-to-face time we shared with our Stars! We look ahead to the new year with hope and joy!
Below is some information that may support you in planning to close out this school year and look ahead to the new school year.
SWE End of the Year Pick-Up and Drop-Off Information
As distance learning continues, we would like to inform you of our procedures for student pick-up of personal items as well as drop-off of SWE materials (library books, Chromebooks,
take- home readers, classroom library books, etc.). Over the next few weeks, teachers will be working to organize student items that are still at school and then make them available for a safe pick-up.
Please follow the pick-up/drop-off schedule as outlined below:
- Last Names A - I: June 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 1pm and 3pm to 7 p.m.
- Last Names J - R: June 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 1pm and 3pm to 7 p.m.
- Last Names S - Z: June 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 1pm and 3pm to 7 p.m.
All parents will enter into the WLH parking lot and pull forward to the cafeteria doors. Please display student names and teacher names using a car rider sign or a handmade sign to indicate for which student(s) you are picking up items. Parents will remain in their vehicles while staff retrieve student items and then will load them in the vehicle. Parents will also be able to drive forward to additional stations to pick up medicine from the clinic and/or previously ordered pictures from Scott Tate.
Staff will also be accepting SWE materials that need to be returned at this time. Please place items being returned to SWE in a bag with student and teacher name attached or written on the bag. All necessary precautions will be taken to protect the safety of SWE staff, students, and parents during this process.
**Please note that all medication must be picked up on the designated days per last name. Any medication not picked up by an adult (18+ years) will NOT be kept over the summer in the clinic. It is the policy of Humble ISD that any medication not retrieved by the end of the school year be destroyed** Please let Nurse T know if you have any questions via email: jtakacs@humbleisd.net
Please don’t hesitate to reach out, if needed. As always, thank you for your continued support of SWE.

Kinder Pre-Registration at SWE
Humble ISD invites parents of incoming kindergarten students to pre-register now for the 2020-2021 school year
Parents of incoming kindergarten students in Humble ISD are asked to pre-register online now for the 2020-2021 school year. Pre-registering helps schools best plan for next year's classes. Parents of current Humble ISD PreK students do not complete the pre-registration. Pre-registration is needed only for incoming kindergarten students who will be enrolling in Humble ISD.
Pre-registration and document upload can all be done online now while buildings are closed. All required documentation must be uploaded into the enrollment form or emailed to SWE Registrar, Stephanie Cruz, stephanie.cruz@humbleisd.net, before the enrollment process is complete. Kindergarten Roundups, or orientation sessions, have been postponed this month and will be held at an appropriate time.
Visit www.humbleisd.net/kinderenrollment to fill out the 2020-2021 New Student Enrollment form. Students must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2020, to be eligible for kindergarten in Texas public schools.
Humble ISD asks families to please complete the online pre-registration for kindergarten by Friday, May 29, 2020.
