Hello Lincoln Families,
Halloween is on Monday, October 31st and costumes are allowed as long as there are no masks, no inflatables, no military uniforms or tactical gear, no blood or gore, hoods, no face painting, or any other part of the costume that hides the face.
Costumes should be within the general dress code standards in regards to appropriateness. Body exposure that would not be acceptable on a regular day, should not be exposed on Halloween. Weapons of any type are not allowed.
Dress Code
We want to remind our students about our Dress Code. Please spend some time reviewing our dress code with your student. If a student is found to be in violation of the dress code, students will be asked to change clothing. The inappropriate clothing item will be exchanged for school clothing or personal clothing brought in by parent/guardian.
Students may wear:
• Hats, scarves, and/or headwear associated with religion or culture
• Hoodie sweatshirts (hoods not allowed to cover the head)
• Fitted pants, including leggings, yoga pants, and “skinny jeans”
• Sweatpants, shorts, skirts, dresses, pants
• Ripped jeans, as long as underwear is not exposed
• Clothing must cover undergarments
• Athletic attire
• Clothing with commercial/athletic logos provided they do not violate the guidelines in the "Cannot Wear" section
• Hats may be worn outside
• Facial coverings or masks may be worn optionally for virus prevention
Students cannot wear:
• Violent language or images depicting firearms, knives, or other weapons
• Images or language depicting drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products (or any illegal item or activity)
• Hate speech, profanity, pornography
• Clothing identified as being gang-affiliated by Oceanside Police and/or the Student Services Department
• Images and/or language that create a hostile or intimidating environment based on any protected class
• Visible underwear or bathing suits of similar design – visible waistbands or straps on undergarments worn under other clothing are not a violation
• Hoods covering the head and masks covering the face

This is a friendly reminder that student cell phones must be turned off and put in their backpacks during school hours. Families, we ask for your support in reminding your students of this school policy. Thank you.

Drop Off and Pick Up
For everyone's safety, we ask that you drop off your student in a controlled and efficient manner. Please drop off your child by the curb, avoid double parking and be careful as pedestrians cross the street.
