Kirk Fenton News
14th June 2019
Dear Parents / Carers,
This week has again been very busy and exciting marred only by the weather! On Monday, the children all took part in class photographs - it was a pleasure to see how they have grown over the year. Key Stage 2 celebrated the feast of Pentecost in church learning about the Holy Spirit sent by Jesus and the birth of the church itself. Tuesday saw KS2 visit Countryside Live which was a super day with lots of hands-on activities including wand making and baking. On Thursday, three of our Year 5 pupils attended a science day based on animals and they were able to handle a range of exotic creatures during their learning. In the afternoon some of our Year 3 and 4 pupils attended a dodgeball competition showing respect and perseverance to make us proud.
Finally, we have been awash with dads and male role models as our Nursery and Reception children have been thinking about the men in their lives. Thank you for joining us in school.
Next week is sports day on Friday afternoon (weather permitting) so I am hoping to see many of you there. Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Karen Williams
