Field Trip Money- Please remember that the next field trip payment of $10 is due November 1st. (This is for the people that chose the 6 payment plan.)
PTO Capital Campaign- As of Friday, our class was in first place! Let's finish strong. All money should be turned in Tuesday, October 25th.
Attendance- Absences and tardies are still a big problem.
Please make sure that your child is at school every day and on time. It is very difficult for students to get settled in each morning and ready to learn when they are late. They often feel behind and get very frustrated. Students also feel this frustration when they miss school and have to try to get caught up. We move quickly in Third Grade and the work can pile up quickly when students miss days. Please make every effort to have your child at school each day.
Old News, but still important!
Car Line- Please remember that the car line ends at 3:30. It is important that your child is picked up by this time. If you are struggling to get your child picked up you may need to contact the YMCA and get put on the waiting list for after-school care.
Dojo- I hope you will check Dojo frequently for classroom news and updates.
Snack- Please make sure that your child brings a small snack (just one) and a water bottle to school each day.
Homework- Your child should be reading for a total of 20 minutes each night and practicing skip-counting aloud.
Welcome to our class!

Miss Wagoner
Hi! My name is Chloe Wagoner and I am a distance education student at East Carolina University. I was born and raised in Wilkes County, NC, and I graduated from Wilkes Early College High School with an Associate in Arts in 2021. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading, and I am so excited to be working with your students this semester!
I have always had a passion for education and working with children. I was very active in volunteerism for various organizations that serve our local youth, including the Wilkes County Public Library and Ebenezer Christian Children's Home through the honors and service organizations I was a part of in high school. In addition, my sophomore class built and installed a food pantry at C.B. Eller Elementary School, where we encouraged the Junior Beta Club to remain active in service throughout their academic careers. I have spent many hours in the classroom pursuing my Education degree and creating positive relationships with students along the way.
When I am not in the classroom, I like to read, listen to music, sing, and spend time with my family, friends, and pets.
I hope that your children will enjoy the reading and math activities I have planned for them. I look forward to working with Mrs. McManus and your students through December. Thank you for your continued cooperation with university students as we learn more about what it means to be an impactful teacher.
Sincerely,
Chloe Wagoner
