ROCKET TALK THIS WEDNESDAY
Core Survey for Parents/Guardians!
Thank you to the 17% of parents/guardians that already took the survey! Woohoo!
This is part of a district-wide initiative to have enclosed schools with one point of entry during school hours.
There will still be multiple gates opened before and after school for entry and dismissal. However, from 9:00 am to 3:05 pm, all visitors will have to enter through the main entrance doors.
In the coming weeks, we will also be activating the EVSS (Electronic Visitor Screening System) which will require all visitors to identify themselves at the front door before being granted entry.
Prisk has not activated the EVSS system as of yet and we will continue to provide updates until that time. If you want to best prepare for the change, you can simply start using the front entrance when coming onto campus.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we navigate this process; it is a change for all of us!
P.S. Please also be reminded that in the morning, our playground opens at 8:30am and therefore, gates are locked until that time. In the afternoon, we begin dismissal at 3:05 pm and therefore, the gates remain locked until dismissal begins.
- Lead a Structured Game/Activity
- Supervise a Specific Area (Basketball Courts, Tetherball Courts, Jungle Gym, etc)
- Roam the Playground to Assist Where Needed
Our students could always use extra support to provide words of encouragement, reminders of safety rules, ambassadors of positive social-emotional interaction, etc. If you are a VIPS and would like to help from the hours of 11:45-1:10 (or any portion thereof) on any or all days of the week, please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are not a VIPS, but would like to become one, please visit our main office and ask for a VIPS application (or download it from the lbschools.net website).
Thank you, in advance, for your consideration!
