Adding Integers
1- If the numbers have the same sign you need add them
2. if the numbers have different sign subtract
examples-
same sign-
6+2= 8
-4+(-3)= -7
different sign-
8+(-3)= 5
-9+4= -5
Subtracting Integers
1- when you are subtracting forget the sign and subtract as usual then put the sign or the larger number
2- When you have 2 minus sign together it converts to a plus sign
examples-
4-(-8)= 12
-9-4=- 13
Multiplying Integers
1- the product of two integers with same sign is positive
2- the product of two integers with different sign is negative
examples-
same signs
2x3= 6
-4x-6= -24
different signs
8x-4= -32
-2x7= -14
Dividing Integers
1- the quotient of two integers with the same signs is positive
2- the quotient of two integers with different signs is negative
examples-
same signs-
32/4= 8
-8/-2= 4
different signs
40/-8=5
-50/10= -5
