SHowcase was a huge success!

The 5th annual Sound of Springtown Marching Showcase was a huge success! Thank you to the band staff, students, Band Backers and the dozens of volunteers that worked on Saturday!! A special thanks goes to Stan Gideon, stadium manager and Brenda Johnson, our Band Backers Showcase Chairman for all of their help in making this the most successful year yet!!

We received several compliments throughout the day from participating directors and parents of competing bands. One director told me "this was the best contest experience my kids have ever had." Another director stated that he "loves the layout, atmosphere and organization of the contest". And several directors complimented on our students leaders who were band guides as "very professional, helpful and overall awesome kids!" It is great to hear that others are seeing what I get to see on a daily basis! Thank you all for being the BEST!

WOW (Words of Wisdom)

"WINNING IS FUN......SURE.

But winning is not the point.

Wanting to win is the point.

Not giving up is the point.

Never letting up is the point.

Never being satisfied with what you've done is the point."
