Upcoming Gala
Grab your pom-poms, jerseys and checkered overalls and join us for this year's gala, themed around fall Saturdays in the South: the 2018 College GameDay Gala!
Cheer the night away with our favorite referee emcee, David Karnes. Be the next MVP - this fun-filled night of games like quarterback toss and more will make this a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the silent auction filled with unique gift basket creations to all the passion and fanfare that the live auction brings, this is a tailgate your company or family won't want to miss!
We are currently asking for auction donations, so if you know someone that would like to donate an item or help sponsor the event, please email development: development@silverdaleba.org.

Scripture Reading Challenge
Every year we challenge our students and families with developing the spiritual discipline of daily devotional time. We desire for our students to build this habit into their lives. Of course, this is a habit that has to be developed mainly through the example of the home. We would like to challenge our families to have a family devotional time through the website CBH (Children's Bible Hour). They have a wonderful program called "Keys for Kids." This website offers a daily devotional for kids and families and allows you to choose a variety of ways to obtain the material. You can simply open to the site and read the devotion directly from the page, request monthly booklets by mail or by email, download the month's devotionals in a PDF form, or listen to the audio version of each daily devotion.
- As you complete each month's daily devotionals, you and your child will fill out the monthly devotional calendar located here. These forms should be turned in to your child's teacher on the 1st of each month.
- Students who successfully finish the devotionals for each month of school (except May) will be honored during our Awards Day ceremony at the end of the year. The month of September is pro-rated and will begin on Saturday, September 15th.
- Third Grade has, for years, used "Keys for Kids" and they will continue to do so. If Third Graders complete the entire monthly sheet, they will also be eligible for the Scripture Reader Award.
- Please log on to this site for your "Keys for Kids" www.keysforkids.org.
Join Us
Join us every Tuesday from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in Room 114 of the Student Ministry Building across the creek for a time of prayer led by Mrs. Kelli Preast and Mrs. Angela Tumlin, two of our SBA parents.
We are excited about this opportunity and would love to have you join us to pray for our Academy, faculty and staff, students and parents.
Box Tops for Education
It’s time to send in those Box Tops! Send your Box Tops in a baggie labeled with your teacher’s name so that your student’s class will get the credit, but please remember to cut on the dotted line to make it easier for volunteers to attach it to the template. The fall deadline is October 19, 2018.
We appreciate your support! If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Doremus, PTF Incentives Coordinator, at ptf@silverdaleba.org.

On Friday, September 14th, the High School Girls Volleyball team in conjunction with their pink out game will be collecting donations in morning carline. All money collected will go directly towards the MaryEllen Locher Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships for children whose parents have battled breast cancer.
Whether your spare pocket change or dollar bills, every little bit helps! This is a partnership we firmly believe in and have seen the benefits of these scholarships first-hand.
Also, SBA's high school volleyball team would like to invite you to join them on Tuesday, September 18th for the ‘Block Out Cancer’ pink-out game against Red Bank High School. All profits from ticket and concession sales will benefit the MaryEllen Locher Scholarship Foundation. JV begins at 5:00pm with Varsity following at 6:00pm.
