Peek at the Week
May 29 - June 1, 2018
Yearbook Time!
We will have 'signing day' on Wednesday of this week. We have an assembly in the auditorium on this day, so teams will need to work out a time your grade-level can get together and sign yearbooks. We discussed that a good time would be when your group is not at the assembly.
There will be students who did not order a yearbook. They will be $25 and available on a first come, first served basis in the office. Checks made payable to the North Pointe PTO.
Awards Info
- Honor Roll will be printed for 4th nine weeks, per usual. These students are not be recognized during your awards celebration; the awards will just go home as usual.
- All year A/B honor roll students will receive a certificate and a medal. All year All A students will receive a certificate and a medal. We are working to have these printed and in your boxes before Friday.
- American Citizenship Awards (formerly known as the Panther Award) will be presented to students - one boy and one girl per grade-level. These were chosen by our related arts teachers. Students will receive a certificate and a medal. I will come to your awards day program and present these to students. These awards will be placed in your boxes.
- Perfect Attendance awards will also be placed in your boxes. Remember that these are for students who were here every day. We do not take early dismissals or tardies into account for this award.
- We are working to set up the media center for awards. Students will sit in the little amphitheater and there will be chairs set up for parents.
- The auditorium will not have any particular set up unless you speak with Denise and request chairs. If you also prefer to use the mic or the screen for a presentation, see Ms. Hampton to work out these details.
- Keep within the 30 minute time limit for your awards IF you have another scheduled after you.
- Prepare a minimum of one academic award per student.
- If you have questions, please ask!
Reminders
We appreciate your help with supervision this time of year! Stick to your schedules, especially for recess. Fights, injuries, and other crazy things can and will happen this time of year. One of the questions parents and others will always ask is - where was the teacher??? Please do not find yourself negligent.
