- We believe in learning from multiple perspectives.
- We believe in learning from authentic primary and secondary sources.

Shout Outs
- The following colleagues also had children who are recent college graduates: J. Hunter (daughter - Winthrop), M. Newmyer (daughter - Tennessee), and A. Snipe (daughter - Clemson). Best wishes to all three.
- Lots of details go into the planning for state wide testing. Thanks to Mr. Gantt, homeroom teachers, proctors, hall monitors, and all who contributed to a successful first round of testing last week.
- In the first of its kind (my proclamation) Officer Hood and our 5th graders led a D.A.R.E learning celebration. D.A.R.E envisions a world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to live lives free from violence, substance use, and other dangerous behaviors. Additional kudos to H. Reit for the assist.
- DFHS baseball team which won its first 5A state title after defeating the Blythewood Bengals. The team features former Fox Cub Daniel Cosola (son of PTO board member Maya Cosola and big brother of 3rd grader B. Cosola).
