Leadership Trait: Courage
Nick Barnard
What is Courage?
Courage is the ability to endure and execute a solution to overcome an obstacle, even if it seems wrong or impossible.
Mahatma Gandhi
Gandhi had lots of courage because he put himself in situations where he was always at a disadvantage. He never used violence, so he never had a chance of winning a battle if the opponent attacked him.
Nelson Mandela
Nelson had tons of courage because he fought for what was right for his country. He spent 27 years in jail to free his country. He put himself in so many situations to be killed, and he was never phased.
Joseph Stalin
Stalin, whether you like him or not, was a very courageous leader. He went against what everyone in Russia had believed and transformed the USSR into a world power. He took the lives of millions to change one country, and whether you believe it was right or wrong it was extremely courageous.
