Panther Pause
22 years of Pride at Colleyville Heritage High School
11.02.18
Panthers,
It is hard to believe it's already November, because it feels just like yesterday we were starting the school year! This week we were able to host some of our community leaders and were able to take them into our classrooms to truly experience what our students are doing on a daily basis. They all walked away amazed at how the environment was so conducive to student learning and how well students were able to articulate to others about their learning. I am incredibly proud of the work our staff has done and will continue to do for our students moving forward.
In the world of extra curricular activities, last night our volleyball team was victorious in their second round playoff game. They will continue their run next week, so please look for the upcoming details and find a way to come out and support this great group of young ladies. Tonight our football team will travel to Birdville for a big matchup with playoff implications. Make sure to come out and support them as they do a great job putting their PRIDE on full display. As always, the Friday night experience in Texas is not only about the football game, but the support of our spirit organizations and performances by the Panteras, our Panther Band, and Diamonds. Finally, tomorrow is the annual color run put on by our Student Council. This run will be held at CHHS tomorrow morning at 9am. All proceeds will go to support OURescue, an organization that works to put an end to human trafficking. As you can tell it is a great time to be a Panther! Have a great weekend and GO PANTHERS!

Student Voice
Define what PRIDE means to you at CHHS.
As a student who has attended Colleyville Heritage High School the past four years, I have so much PRIDE for my school and all its members. Being a part of the cheerleading team has given me such an amazing opportunity to form friendships and grow as a student and a leader. The cheer team, in addition to competing and performing at pep rallies and other school functions, spends much of our time volunteering and serving in our school and community. Servant leadership is one of the most important characteristics to have and I have learned so much about this trait throughout my years on the cheer team and at CHHS. I am a part of the Leadership class, and it is similar to the cheer team because serving others is a large goal for our class. Being able to have PRIDE in my school and community is what makes being a Colleyville Heritage Panther such a blessing.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 2019: NICK WOHLFERD
Nick Wohlferd is our featured 2019 Senior Spotlight Student this week. Nick is a member of the Pep Boys. He enjoys hanging out with friends and watching all kinds of sports. His favorite quote is “if you’re good at something, never do it for free” - The Joker. He thinks Project Graduation is "a great chance to have a last big celebration before summer and before everyone goes their separate ways in the fall". We hope all our seniors will join Nick at the 2019 Project Graduation Celebration.
