Reading throughout the holidays......
In efforts to continue promoting literacy throughout the holiday’s students participated in a reading contest. During the last week of school before the holidays the library seemed like the BEST place for teachers to take students to. Teachers brought students to the library to checkout a book or two to read throughout the winter break. As a treat students would get a popcorn bag. After reading the book students were required to complete a summary on the book. The summary forms were placed in a box to be raffled for students to get a chance to win Bluetooth Wireless Speakers. A total of 17,300 books were circulated during the 3rd six weeks. Thank you TEACHERS for your continued support in helping get every student to READ..... Winners of the speakers were Odalys Alvarado, Aileen Rosales, and Samantha Castillo. CONGRATULATIONS STUDENTS Let's keep reading.....
