Classroom Communication
Zoomobile
The Zoomobile was a success! The presenter was fabulous. She was able to help us learn about the food chain. As classroom, we have not studied organisms just yet but the students were already knowledgeable on the topic. The students had the opportunity to touch an African Millipede. They also got to see and learn about a spotted gecko and a guinea pig.
At the end of the presentation, students received an adventure book. Once students complete a total of 20 adventures in the book, they are able turn it into the zoo for a free zoo pass.
Word of the Month
The word of the month for the school is kindness. The school is recognizing acts of kindness by rewarding students with a heart with their name on them, then they can put the heart on the bulletin board.
Our class sat down and defined the word kindness and gave examples. Then students received a heart with another students name. They had to find that student and give them a positive comment. Once each student received their heart, we all went down to the bulletin board and added our names to them.
