Parent Update
Watch us SOAR!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
It's fall and such a fun time to watch the leaves turning to such beautiful colors. Just like the leaves changing right before our eyes, it's always amazing to watch your children growing and learning right before our eyes. Hard to believe we have been in school for the first six weeks already. From preschoolers making applesauce to kindergarteners collaborating to design boats that float to 3rd graders playing math games to 4th graders getting lost in a good book...everyday brings such awesome experiences at Clough!
- School Pictures will be happening on Tuesday and Wednesday this week!
- PTO Meeting - virtual @ 6:30 Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/7100517803
- October has lots of special days: Anti-bullying month, World Inclusion Day, National Youth Confidence Day, Positive Post-It Note Day. During KCR time, over the next several weeks we will be talking about the core value of acceptance. Be sure and ask your child what they know about acceptance!
- Scholastic Book Fair is coming! Oct. 17-Oct. 21. Family Shopping Event will be Thursday, Oct. 20 from 4:30-6:30. Principal Garden will be doing a read aloud around 5:00!
- More information to come about our Halloween Parade on the afternoon of Oct. 31. We will be looking for some parents to come in and help our younger students get into costumes.
- Literacy O'Lanterns! See pictures and info below for this fun home/school connection activity!
- See below for more information about the Better Together Summit on Oct. 28 in Sturbridge. We would love to have 3 more parents who want to attend this event with Clough staff.
- Mendon Turkey Trot! See flyer below
Hope you enjoyed the long weekend with family and friends!
Sincerely,

👻🎃October SEPAC Meeting👻🎃
Please join us on Monday October 24th, 6:30pm @ Nipmuc PDC or over ZOOM https://mursd.zoom.us/j/85605877946?pwd=bWtocngzNWgySUxIYW1EM2FrQmxvZz09 for our next SEPAC Meeting!
During this meeting we will review Procedural Safeguards in addition to our regular monthly meeting agenda. What are Procedural Safeguards? They are designed to protect the rights of parents and their child with a disability and, at the same time, give families and school systems several mechanisms by which to resolve their disputes. Every parent or guardian involved in the special education process should be aware of these procedures, but there's a lot to them, so let's break it down together!
