Inspiring a Culture of Reading and Learning
Think...Create...Share...Grow...Discover...Imagine
This is our second edition of our new monthly Library Newsletter! Happy September! We will be posting this newsletter monthly to share our library (all three!) "happenings"; such as new book recommendations, scheduled events, upcoming book fairs, resource links, tech tips, collaborative opportunities, etc.!
Upcoming Event:
2019 Fall Scholastic Book Fairs
Our first Book Fair is coming up soon: October 11-22.
The theme for the M.S. & H.S. fair will be an Autumn theme.
The theme this year at the Elementary is "Arctic Adventure!"
Yes...a bit of a stretch in the Fall...
but we plan to have fun with it!
We need and LOVE to have helpful parent volunteers before and during the Book Fair at all three locations, so please be thinking about lending us a hand with either the creative side with preparations or helping out while the students shop! Please let your librarian know she can count on your help!
We appreciate you!!!

Level 13; a slacker novel by Gordon Korman
Cameron Boxer, king of the slackers, has found something worth his time. By playing video games online in front of an audience he can find both fame AND fortune -- especially with Elvis (a beaver who seems to love video games as much as Cam) at his side.
The only problem? Things keep getting in Cam's way. Like school. And the club he accidentally started. And the misguided people in his life who don't think beavers should be playing video games.
It's going to take some trickery, some close calls, and a fierce devotion to slacking in order for Cam to get to his goal -- conquering the game's infamous Level 13. But if any slacker can do it, Cam can.

#murderfunding by Gretchen McNeil
WELCOME TO WHO WANTS TO BE A PAINIAC?, the latest reality TV show on the hunt for the next big-hit serial killer. But don’t worry—no one is actually going to murder anyone, as real as the fake gore and pretend murder may appear . . . uh, right?
Seventeen-year-old Becca Martinello is about to find out. When her perfectly normal soccer mom dies in a car crash, a strange girl named Stef appears to let Becca know that her deceased mom was none other than one of Alcatraz 2.0’s most popular serial killers—Molly Mauler. Soon, Becca ends up on Who Wants to Be a Painiac? to learn the truth about her mom’s connection to Molly Mauler, but things turn sinister when people are murdered IRL. Will Becca uncover dark secrets and make it out of the deadly reality show alive? Or will she get cut?
