Each student who meets the reading goal of reading 10 books (or having 10 books read to them-for emerging readers) will receive two tickets to see an Ems game over the summer.

The Spring Creek Great Kindness Challenge Begins Monday 3/28 (Repeat)

We are excited to announce that we are participating in The 2022 Great Kindness Challenge where we will join thousands of schools across the country to create a culture of kindness. Your child is part of a powerful and positive bullying prevention initiative that will lead to more kindness, unity, and respect at school and beyond. To help build upon this momentum, we are participating in two unifying service projects, Pennies, Change for Kindness, and Clothing, Comfort for Kindness, for The Eugene Mission, and Food for Kindness for Food for Lane County, to help build community beyond our school gates.

See this flyer for more details.

Nominate “A Champion in Education” Today! (Repeat)

Who is your champion in education? An inspiring teacher? An encouraging school secretary? A caring school counselor or nurse? A problem-solving tech support staff member? A dedicated nutrition services staff member? A bus driver who always takes the time to listen? A principal who is an inspirational leader?

Now is the time to recognize their contributions by nominating them for an ACE (A Champion in Education) Award!

To learn more and nominate a 4J employee or volunteer, visit The nomination deadline is March 31. (Note about volunteers: A small number of volunteers performing essential services have been permitted in schools this year. Though a much smaller force, their assistance is deeply valued.)

One nominee in each of the four categories (teachers & licensed specialists, classified staff, administrators, and volunteers), will be named an ACE Award champion and win a $250 grant from the Eugene Education Foundation for the 4J school or program of their choosing. Every nominee will be recognized as an exceptional educator at the virtual awards ceremony.

Join us in celebration of our amazing educators and cheer on the nominees at the virtual awards ceremony on May 10 at 6 p.m. (Watch for details)

Student Drop Off & Pick Up Locations- Do not park or drop off students in the bus lanes (Repeat)

Curbside Pause Parking Reminders: (Repeat)

In the mornings, students may be dropped off along the curb. At the end of the day, drivers can pause park along the curb on adjacent streets and in the parking lot to pick up their students when they come out at dismissal. Please note the following rules for pause parking:

Drivers must remain in their cars at all times. (if you'd like to walk your child to an entrance, you must park in a parking spot).
• Drivers should pull forward as space becomes available.
• Drivers should NOT stop in marked crosswalk areas.
• When getting in or out of a car, students must use the door on the sidewalk side. Students should never get in or out of a car on the driver’s side. It’s unsafe for the student and it slows traffic.

Drivers must remember to ALWAYS yield at the painted crosswalks and sidewalks.
