Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12,1809 in Hodgenville, Kentucky. He did not go to college but was very smart and taught himself the law and became a lawyer. Before the civil Abraham Lincoln served in the Illinois legislature and lost an election for the U.S senate to Stephen A. Douglas.
