BETHKE BISON BULLETIN

May 20, 2018

Have a wonderful summer!

It is hard to believe the last week of the 2017-2018 school year is here. What a year it has been. Despite floods, freezes, snow, missing days and challenges of growing over 400 students since school began, we are so very proud of our Bethke Bison.

Our theme this year was, "Here We Grow!" We anticipated the growth in numbers, but had no way of knowing how our students would come together by welcoming their new classmates. Their Bison Time projects focused on helping those impacted by Hurricane Harvey, myself included. We also saw HUGE growth in student achievement this year, and cannot wait to see the growth that will continue for so many of our students next year at Bethke.

My hope is that you have a safe and happy summer filled with memories of sweet summertime. It won't be long before our 5th graders are headed to junior high, as we'll welcome our newest Bison to Bethke!

Be on the lookout for monthly newsletters throughout the summer about Meet the Teacher, Orientations and exciting announcements as we will celebrate 100 Years of Katy ISD!

Wishing you a wonderful summer!

Warning from Katy ISD Police

I've been asked to let our parents know that it is illegal to stop at a stop sign and let your students out of the car. This is becoming a problem on the Paetow side of our school and the officer on duty in the mornings wanted to let you know he will begin writing tickets if cars stop at the stop sign and drop students off. Thank you for your cooperation.
