Jessica Wilson Receives Superintendent's Academic Excellence Honors

Congratulations to MRHS senior Jessica Wilson, who was chosen to receive the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Certificate of Academic Excellence Award. She will be honored at the Wednesday December 17 School Committee Meeting at MRHS.

The Award:

As the educational leader in each community, the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents has designed an award for academic excellence given by the district’s superintendent to high school students who have distinguished themselves in the pursuit of excellence during their high school careers.

  • The selection is made by the Superintendent from within the top 5% of students based on their three year cumulative GPA.
  • Contributions to the school and community, leadership, and recommendations from staff members, counselors, and the principal are used to determine which student in the top 5% is most deserving of this award.

This is a prestigious award, given to a select few students in Massachusetts Given Monomoy Regional High School’s size, only one senior is being awarded this certificate.

Check out our Young Women's Club in Action! Fun, Fun, Fun

The Club invited guest Tracey Crowell, owner of the Masjah Center in Harwich as their special guest. Tracey led the girls in meditation, yoga, and, as you can see, movement. Tracey emphasizes love for one's body, young female empowerment, and healthy decisions. Check out the video by clicking the link:
