How the war of 1812 started.
The war of 1812 started by the British thought they had lake Champlain but the British were thereat by the colonies. On June 18 1812 the U.S signed a declaration of war to go against Great Britain.
During the war and after
Britain had 600 ships, and America had 17 ships. The U.S manpower was a lot less than Britain. The Us fought a long time to get what they deserve. Britain was a lot more richer so they just kept on bringing more ships. Britain took over 500 prisoners too war to go fight for them. In the end the colonies won the war. A treaty was signed on Christmas eve 1814, the war of 1812 came to end by signing the treaty of Ghent.
