Feed Your Body
Nourish your body and take a break from cooking dinner!
Bring your family for dinner this year! There will be several food trucks stationed in the bus lane with some yummy dinner and snack options. The cafeteria will be open for you to sit and enjoy your meal- please enter through the back doors near the cafeteria.
Feed Your Mind
Food for your mind!
Come and check out the great material the book fair has to offer this fall! There are wonderful book options for all readers and fun gifts to get a jump on your holiday shopping too.
The book fair helps to support the library and our school in many ways. It allows us to purchase new and interesting titles for our students, finances online subscriptions such as bookflix (check this out on our symbaloo Username: eyestone Password: flix) and provides student and classroom books and resources needed for instruction. Come support your school book fair!
Continue to feed your mind by dropping into the STEAM room. It will be open for exploration with Mr. Shinneman. Drop in and check out some of the cool projects and activities we have been working with this year. Topics include robotics and new resources available to our students.
Feed your Soul
This year there is an increased focus towards mindfulness at Eyestone. This has been informed with research and provides valuable strategies for our students and faculty alike in areas such as relaxation activities, peaceful problem resolution, treating others with empathy and much more.
Ms. Warren, our amazing kindergarten teacher will be featuring two Mindful Movement (AKA Yoga) classes where a student and caregiver can pair up and enjoy some relaxing yoga with her. Students will need to be accompanied by an adult or sibling 15 years or older and must sign up to enjoy this event. Class is capped at ten pairs per class.
Please sign up here for classes here!
There will be a Mindfulness display, compliments of Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Cooley in the hallway. Please check out some great activities, such as glitter jar creation to help us create internal balance.
