Elkton Middle School Family Newsletter
May 28, 2023
Dear Elkton Middle School Families,
The students in our band, chorus and orchestra had wonderful performances on Tuesday night! We are very proud of the work they did under the direction of Ms. Noel and Ms. Sypolt. We want to thank all of the family members that came out to support our students! We saw tremendous growth from winter to spring as our program gets stronger and stronger. Our 8th grade students enjoyed the day in Washington DC on Wednesday and we thank each of the parents that were able to support our trip and those that chaperoned.
We also wrapped up our spring sports season on Thursday with the county track meet. We are proud of the hard work and dedication of our student athletes in volleyball, flag football, field hockey and track and their coaches.
On Tuesday we invite families to attend our Title I Program Review. Your input matters! We have two options.
- In Person @ 2:45 pm at Elkton Middle School
- Virtual @ 6:30pm Zoom Link: https://ccps-org.zoom.us/j/92254215182
Please see information below regarding summer camp registration. Also, you may still order a yearbook if you have not done so already!. Click Here to order your student's yearbook. Yearbook Orders
This Memorial Day weekend we will pause, reflect, and honor those who died serving our country.

Title I Program Review
Dear EMS Families,
Elkton Middle is a School-Wide Title I School. This means that our school receives additional federal funding that can be used to support the needs of all of our students to help ensure that their educational experiences thrive and grow. Family involvement is an important part of Title I. Part of the Title I program is aimed at increasing family involvement. We would like to get your feedback about our Title I program, including student and family involvement opportunities so that we can better serve you. Please join us on May 30th, 2023, at EMS starting at 2:45 pm or via Zoom at 6:30pm. You will hear an overview of the Title I program at Elkton Middle, highlights of some of the ways we have supported students and families with Title I funds, and have an opportunity to provide input for the use of funds in the 2023-2024 school year.
Thank you,
The EMS Title I Team
