As leaves fall from the trees and we anticipate the first bout of winter weather, we reflect on the start to this school year and are thankful for the time that we have in school with our students and staff. While we miss our remote learners, we are grateful for their participation!
A portion of the anticipated hardware has arrived in district and prep work has begun to roll out devices to instructional staff allowing livestreaming of lessons. We anticipate changes to daily remote schedules, beginning with our hybrid and remote learners at grades 5 and 6. I thank you for your patience and support with our current instructional model. We are very fortunate to provide additional layers of support for our students! Specific classroom and grade level schedules will be shared by classroom teachers in November.
On November 17th and 18th, Kindergarten - grade 6 students will be dismissed at 11:40 am. Kindergarten and grade 3 students will eat lunch prior to leaving the building, and all other students will receive a bag lunch to take home. This time will allow instructional staff to take part in professional development that supports all types of instruction.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Sincerely,
Jen Mueller, Elementary Principal

Cooler Days = Warmer Clothing
As we look forward to welcoming November with the cool crisp autumn days, please keep in mind that our students will be going outside as scheduled to enjoy the fresh air and exercise. Warm coats, hats and mittens or gloves may be required for your child to participate in outdoor activities. Please send with them appropriate cold weather clothing. The Health Office is not able to provide clothing for students due to COVID restrictions. So Hooray for Autumn; Hooray for exercise; and Hooray for Healthy Children!!!
Emergency School Closings
If school must be closed, delayed in opening, or dismissed early due to inclement weather or other unpredictable problems, an announcement will be made as soon as possible after 6:30 AM on the official stations, radio station WGY and television station WRGB. Additionally, School Messenger will call each family to advise of school closings, delays and early dismissals.
PLEASE DISCUSS WITH YOUR CHILDREN EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO IN EVENT OF UNPLANNED DISMISSAL
