Escape of the Giant Wave

By: Peg Kehret

Main Characters:

Kyle and BeeBee

Kyle gets bullied by a kid named Darren that goes to his school. Over the summer Kyle's dad has a business trip the whole family get to go on. Unfortunately, Darren's family is going on it too. While they are there, a tsunami is coming and no one knows what to expect.

I liked this book because it was interesting and it makes you want to keep reading.

My favorite part was when they met an older couple while going up the hill to get away from the tsunami because they were very helpful and kind.

I would change how predictable some of the scenes would be because some were very obvious.

I like Kyle because he is very brave and he would do anything for his little sister.

I recommend this book to middle and high school students because it makes the reader feel like they are in the story.
