Picture Day!

Wednesday, Dec. 9th, 8am

Both Schools

Didn't get your photo taken? Or, want to re-take your photo? Read on!

If students have not been photographed this school year, please be prepared to have a photograph taken on re-take day. All students must be photographed. Portraits will be needed for your school’s data base.

If you want a re-take of your student’s original portrait, please return the original package in its entirety to the photographer on re-take day. A replacement package will be printed and delivered to the school with your student’s new image. If you did not purchase photos from the original picture day and want a re-take, please have the student’s picture taken.

If you would like to order school pictures for the first time, fill out the online form to pre-pay and come to picture day!

If you do not order your student’s portrait on re-take day, you will still be able to order online for the entire school year. Approximately 3 weeks after the portrait is taken your student will bring home a proof form with their own secure private gallery password. Online orders get mailed directly to your home and will include a shipping charge of $4.50.

Re-take photos will be delivered to the school approximately three weeks after the re-take day.

Here is the pre-pay link for parents to order ahead of time:

Veteran's Day Celebrations

FLES families made several baskets to send to our veterans and RMS students and staff contributed $1,257.99 to Wounded Warriors COVID-19 Family Relief Fund in Wisconsin. The video below was also shared as a tribute to our Veterans and to connect them to our school family!

Hybrid Board Meetings

Our next board meetings are on December 7th and 21st. Tune in virtually, or attend at RMS.

Board Updates

No School!

Friday, Dec. 11th, 8am

At the October 26, 2020, board meeting, December 11, 2020, was added to the calendar as a professional day for staff. As such, there will be no school for students this day. Thank you in advance for your support as we work to educate your students both virtually and face-to-face this year. This day will give us additional time to create and reflect on lesson plans that engage and motivate your children!
Aside from voting at the November 10th Special Board Meeting to move to virtual learning in a staggered fashion, with a return to face-to-face learning on December 7th, the board discussed and/or acted on the following items at their November 16th board meeting:

Ms. Kelly Downs, District Math Specialist, provided an overview of the Math Curricula adoptions, professional development, and feedback received.

Mr. Laird reviewed the updated Band & Orchestra Handbook; the handbook was adopted.

Ms. Howe discussed the budget and two policies related to the budget (Policy 6114 - Cost Principles and Policy 6325 - Procurement); both policies were approved. Paying-off the Forte Bank Loan was also approved.

A variety of updates were made surrounding the pandemic including information from the county, the updated dashboard was shared, and the use of personal days was discussed and a temporary change was approved.

Similar to the decision that was made about our programming following Thanksgiving, the Board will act on what our programming will look like following Winter Break. We know that parents need time to respond to this decision, should it be a move to virtual learning, however we also want to act prudently in a manner that best supports our students and staff. The Board will discuss this on December 7th and if enough information is available, the administration will present a recommendation to the Board.

Covid Updates

Check out our updated Dashboard and information regarding how to proceed if you or a family member is showing symptoms of Covid - 19 during virtual learning.

Covid - 19 Dashboard

Last month we shared our Covid Dashboard. Based on feedback and the evolving situation, our LPN, Kristina Windisch, updated it to include additional details and information. In addition to being shared in each newsletter, this Dashboard is also available from the Announcements section of our homepage. Two reminders: please note the 'Updated' date on the Dashboard to see if the information is completely up-to-date. Our intention is to update this Dashboard on a weekly basis. In addition to the Dashboard, we will continue to send out an email each time we have a positive case at either school.
Big picture

Virtual Learning the rest of the week and a return to school next week... what procedures should we continue to follow?

  • If anyone in your family gets a covid test, your entire family should quarantine until you have the results. (This helps to reduce the amount of contact tracing should someone test positive. You should notify the school so that if the test ends up positive, the school can react quickly in order to contact trace should it be necessary.)
  • Parents, if you or a child, tests positive, please notify the school office as soon as possible. Your early notification allows us to more quickly respond and mitigate through contact tracing.
  • Staff members are asked to notify a building or district-level administrator if they, or a family member, have a confirmed, positive test result, or if they learn of a student or family impacted by covid.
  • In cases when staff or students were in close contact with the individual who was confirmed positive, an additional letter outlining information and next steps will be sent out to impacted families. In close contact cases, a 14-day quarantine is necessary. (If you do not receive a second letter, it means you/your child were not found to be in close contact with the individual who tested positive.)

Quarantine and Isolation Guidance

COVID Testing Requirements to Return to School:

If your child is at home because they are experiencing symptoms found on the COVID-19 Health Screening Checklist for Children, please WAIT 4-5 days before being tested per guidance from the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department.

A PCR test is currently the ONLY accepted NEGATIVE test result in determining whether or not your child can return to school earlier than the 10 days + 24 hours quarantine period.

Pupil Services Update, Ms. Tomich

New On-Site Clinical Mental Health Partnership Program Coming Soon

The Holy Hill Area School District is pleased to announce to our school community that a new service will soon be provided within the Holy Hill Area School District. As a school district we are aware of the number of our students receiving clinical mental health support. We also know that accessing clinical mental health services outside of school hours can be a challenge. Identifying a provider, arranging transportation, and finding a time slot that works with busy schedules can be difficult. We are happy to announce that St. A’s agency will look to begin offering clinical services on site within the Holy Hill Area School District as part of a partnership program beginning as early as January 2021. Please stay tuned for more information as we look to establish this on site clinic within our school district.
