It's time for Spring Break!

Today marks the end of school for ten days. That doesn't mean the learning needs to end. Find time to put down the electronics, pick up a book, and spend some time reading. When I'm not driving with my wife and daughter to visit colleges this next week, or running a few miles, I'm planning on reading a few books that are on my "must read" pile. I need to finish "Love Works" by Joel Manby. I need to read "Kids Deserve It" by Adam Welcome and Todd Nesloney. And I need to read "Running with the Buffaloes" by Chris Lear. I know it will be difficult for me to disconnect, but I need to do it to make sure I model reading to those around me as well as relaxing and refreshing. What books might you read over Spring Break? And wherever you plan to travel, be safe and have fun.

Our first play in years!

I'm so excited that Mr. Werni and Ms. Kohnert are directing our students in a play this Spring. The play is called "30 Reasons Not To Be In A Play". The shows are Friday, April 28th at 7PM and Saturday, April 29th at 2PM and 7PM. The tickets are $5 and are available at the door as well as in the Intermediate School office. Exact change or checks payable to Merton School are accepted. All shows are in the Primary School gym. We hope to see you there!

Above is a picture of our new inductees and below is a video to enjoy. The video shows just some of the awesome things our NJHS students do throughout the year as a service to our school. I thank them for making our school a better place for everyone, and I thank the NJHS advisers, Mrs. Hess and Mrs. Weiland, for all that they have done to make NJHS a great experience for our students.

Spring Break dates (April 8th-April 17th)
