December Update: 11/29/20

Dear Boulder Creek Families,

This year, Thanksgiving Recess has brought us right to the end of November. I hope our students and families have had the opportunity to relax and enjoy time away from school while staying healthy.

As you know (review 11/13/20 video update below), our school district will be pivoting to Phase 1, Distance Learning (DL) for the short term beginning November 30th through the end of the first week following Christmas Break, January 8th. This seems like a long time, however, it only equates to 18 school days among the holiday breaks. Although we have done an incredible job preventing widespread outbreaks in our district and especially at Boulder Creek, there have been a number of instances where an Enterprise Elementary School District (EESD) school and/or cohorts have had to go to DL because of quarantines or insufficient staffing. This is becoming much more prevalent as the community spread of COVID continues to increase as well as other seasonal illnesses infect our staff and have caused spur-of-the-moment notifications for our families and DL teacher preparation that will only likely increase after gatherings at Thanksgiving. For these reasons, district leadership has decided that EESD will hit the “pause” button for the weeks in between the holidays in order to allow more time for planning on the part of parents and staff. As far as the 4-day week following Christmas Break goes, the rationale is to remain in DL for the latter part of the COVID incubation period following the holidays.

Our incredible staff will be supporting our students throughout this holiday season. Our teachers will creatively bring engaging wintertime activities and positivity to our students while we all learn from a distance. We will support our students and families in any way possible. Don't hesitate to call us. We look forward to seeing you all again in person on January 11th!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Tina Croes

Meet Boulder Creek's Newest Staff Member, STUDENT SERVICES CLERK - Devin McComas!

On November 20th, Boulder Creek said goodbye to our beloved Student Services Clerk, Shelby Price. Do not fear! Shelby will still assist Boulder Creek from the Enterprise Elementary School District Office as the Administrative Assistant for Business Services. She will work with all Student Services Clerks across the district as a part of her duties.

We are very excited to welcome Devin McComas to the Boulder Creek Family! If you are in need of assistance with anything enrollment or attendance related, Devin is your new go-to gal! Boulder Creek is a big school and we are in the middle of a strange year so it will take Devin some time to get to know all of our families, but we will get her there. If you need to correspond with her via email, her email address is dmccomas@eesd.net. Don't hesitate to introduce yourself to Devin if you call or come in for school business!

The Boulder Creek School Office is staffed from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. each day. However, if you need to conduct school business in person, please call ahead and make an appointment so we can avoid a crowded office. Always remember to maintain a social distance of six feet and wear a mask when you come onto campus. Thank you.

Under What Circumstances Could Boulder Creek Students Move to Distance Learning?

Even though we are doing everything possible to remain in Phase 3 - In-person Learning, there are some circumstances that may require we enter Distance Learning as a school or as a cohort. These situations include:

  • Directive of public health

  • Positive cases at a school site(s)

  • Inadequate staffing for classrooms (due to staff illness or quarantine)

  • A decline in county conditions resulting in a move to the “widespread” tier

It is always our intention to provide as much notice as possible so our parents can plan accordingly. However, under some circumstances listed above the notice may be short. Please click HERE for a parent message from EESD that includes the most up-to-date county health information as it relates to our schools as well as a link to the ever-changing CDC COVID-19 symptom list.
