Children's Author, Michael Finklea, is booked at M.E.S. for a Presentation and Book Signing on March 10th at 1:00 p.m.
There are four main points covered during the 30-minute presentation:
1. Perseverance- Never give up!
2. The Writing Process- The importance of outlining stories and how writing your story one time is never expected. How to improve your story each time by being more descriptive. He will emphasize the importance of descriptive words.
3. Writing Ideas- Ideas for stories can come from anywhere and anything! He will illustrate this point by selecting something and making up a story on the spot. Your students will love this part and the message they absorb from this simple and fun exercise!
4. Age to be an Author-Michael will inspire young minds by sharing how you can be of any age to be an author! He met a six-year-old author…your kiddos will love hearing this story!
Michael will also share his personal story on growing up with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and the challenges he had to overcome to stay focused. He will share how all dreams can be accomplished by staying on task.
