Women in Education
Fixing the gender inequality in education around the world
Inequality in Education
Women across the globe have struggled with getting an education since the beginning of time. In countries like the United States this issue has been almost resolved, but in countries like India purity and virginity are valued more than a girls education. 2/3 of all the illiterate people in the world are women. This is the problem, many countries don't put education first and people can see the consequences for women not being educated.
Girls in India
These girls are part of the 39% of women in India that are literate.
New buildings are being built across the world to provide a better environment to learn for girls and boys.
Nepal on the Rise
Education in Nepal has been on the rise since 1991.
According to UNESCO, 47% of 61 million children were expected to enroll in school and another 26% were enrolled but eventually dropped out and lastly 27% were expected to attend school at some point in the future.
