Sailor Weekly Update
UIL Competition
Austin Parkway has had a wonderful year with our UIL A+ Academics Club. We participated in two district meets in the areas of 4th and 5th grade Oral Reading and 2nd and 3rd grade Storytelling. These events were coached by two dedicated 2nd grade teachers, Mrs. Amy St. John and Mrs. Beth Snyder. Students worked so hard this year and represented APE with their talents in poetry, drama, and storytelling. Our students showcased these talents in the final competition for the district in April. All participants contributed their absolute best efforts. APE had several students place in the finals for the district. Zoe Brinson achieved 1st place in Storytelling and Nevaeh White placed 5th in Storytelling. APE is proud of all participants of UIL!

Registration is now open for the Fort Bend ISD Extended Learning before and after-school programs for students in prekindergarten through eighth grade. The programs offered include Club Excel, Extended Day and Little Learners. Fort Bend ISD employees receive a discount for Extended Learning tuition-based programs.
All programs provide students with safe and supportive learning spaces, clubs and enrichment activities, time to complete schoolwork, and a healthy snack during afternoon programs.
Extended Learning programs have limited space and fill up quickly, so register early.
To register, complete the online registration application and pay the $50 registration fee to secure placement for your child in an Extended Learning program for the 2022-23 school year.
- All elementary schools offer morning and afternoon programs (except for Jones, Ridgegate and Ridgemont elementary schools)
- Bowie, First Colony, and Sartartia Middle Schools will have morning and afternoon programs
- Fort Settlement and Garcia Middle Schools will offer morning-only programs
Please note that tuition has increased for the 2022-23 school year. Due to inflation, the increase was necessary to continue to provide quality programs for students.
