What is a biome?
Biomes are a large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna occupying a major habitat, forest or tundra. Flora meaning plant and fauna meaning animals.
Types of Scrubs
Thorn
Thorn scrub biomes are usually drier year round and have small plants. When in this land it is not uncommon to see animals of those like elephants and even giraffes.
Mediterranean
Mediterranean scrub biomes are quite warm but still somewhat dry. It is known to have small flowers and small tree vegetations such as cacti. Fires are essential to this land because once the fire has burned out, nutrition is left behind.
Chaparral
Chaparrals are dry lands but still has precipitation. Chaparrals cover more than 5% of California's land. They are also said to have contained unusual species such as Greater Roadrunners and Bushtit birds.
