Beginning of the Year Information

Dear Twelve Bridges families,

We have a lot of information in this email and more specific details coming in the next few days. Please read these emails carefully to ensure we are ready for a successful first day of school. We have never started a school year under these circumstances, but please know we are doing our best to support our students and families through these trying times. Thank you all for your patience and grace as we navigate through this together. Our teachers have been preparing and working very hard to start the year successfully and to implement a rigorous and engaging distance learning program for our students.

Class lists have been finalized and you can find your child’s teacher by logging into the Power School Parent Portal at 4:00 today (see additional details below).

Parent Portal Information

  • Please make sure you have logged on and updated your Parent Portal information. PowerSchool Parent Portal

  • This includes emergency contacts and important information about your child’s health and education including the best emails to reach you at.

  • The email you provide in the Portal will help to make sure you continue to receive up to date emails from TBE and the School District. This is our primary means of communication during distance learning so please make sure we can reach you.

  • The district emailed information out to families that included information about how to access this portal and update the information.

  • Detailed information and access to the portal can be found here: PowerSchool Parent Portal

  • The ParentPortal must be updated before 8/17/20 at 5pm, after that, the Portal will shut down and families will need to come to the school office to update their information.


  • The district has purchased enough Chromebooks for each student to have their own to use at home. That shipment is expected to arrive in September.

  • Families that completed the Tech Survey requesting a Chromebook may pick one up at the school on the 17th, 18th, or 19th. Additional instructions for pick-up coming soon!

  • We have a limited number of Chromebooks available right now, so if you did not request one for your child on the Tech Survey (sent out last week) you may have to wait until our shipment arrives. Please contact Mr. Middleton if you need assistance with technology and do not have any access prior to school starting.

Materials Distribution

  • Student materials will be distributed on August 18th and 19th.

  • More information on material pick-up coming later this week.

How do I know where and when my child is supposed to go online?

  • The teachers “officially” return to work on August 17th.

  • Our first day of school is Thursday, August 20th

  • Between now and the 18th, you will receive an email from your child’s teacher with their Back to School Presentations.

  • In their email, you will also find out when you will have the opportunity to meet (likely virtually) your teacher and ask questions.

  • Typically, the bulk of the live instruction will take place between 8:00-12:30

STAR Sacramento -Childcare Services at TBE

TBE will again have STAR on our campus this year! STAR will be available M-F from 7:00-5:30. Registration will begin this Monday, August 10th at 12:00 pm. You can find more information on their website If you have any questions, you can contact them directly at
