This video explains (sorta) what I am explaining. Notice how tall beaker was? The Bunsonium made him shorter, thinner, and floppy. This shows that while each unit is different, they are all connected. Beaker couldn't just get floppy, he had "muppet meat" filling him up. So, he had to loose mass, in order to loose volume. This goes for all of the units. When he got floppy, he became shorter, and so on.
