Students will complete their study of ancient religions this week and begin the unit on feudalism in England.
Voice
Sixth grade students are off to a great start in voice. We will have our first unit test on Friday, January 25. Look for a study guide on google classroom. Some students do not have the materials they need for class: pencil, 3 ring binder, notebook paper, two pocket folder. Please make sure students have these items. We could also use donations of dry erase markers. Thank you!
Production Technology
Students have been learning about hyperlinks and different ways those can be created in Google Apps. Next up, we will work with Digital Citizenship through a variety of different games and exercises.
Science
The students will develop and use models to classify organisms based on the current hierarchical taxonomic structure (including the kingdoms of protists, plants, fungi, and animals). There will be assignments on Study Island and USA Test Prep, as well as a small quiz on Thursday.
Drama
Focus and rotation students finished differentiating the different theatrical spaces and were quizzed. Now we have begun a new unit on technical production positions within the theatre, its hierarchy, and responsibilities of each of these roles. Students are completing a flow chart and graphic organizers that will assist in classroom activities on the subject, and also serve as a study guide for their upcoming quiz.
Math
6th grade math students had their chapter 8 math test moved to Tuesday. We had some celebration time on Thursday and Friday which restricted our test review. The study guide and the answer key for the test is posted to google classroom.
In order to support another 6th grade class we are videoing the math instruction in one of our 6th grade classrooms. These classroom videos are being posted to google classroom to support your students.
