Our Favorite Pets by Sophia R. and Avery R.
Have you ever had a pet that you’ll never forget? My first pet was my pet bunny named Bugsey. Bugsey was a brown, white, and black ball of fluff. He was my best friend. I talked my parents into getting a pet bunny, and I got him near Mother’s Day. We went to the breeder and I held him for the first time. I knew he was the right one for me. A fact about Bugsey is that he had a teeth problem, and we had to cut his teeth with toe nail clippers because his teeth would grow too long. He died the first Tuesday in August, 2016 sadly, but I had him through 2015 to 2016. I miss Bugsey, and I’ll never forgot him in a million years.
Hello this is Avery and you just read my part of the story, Sophia’s story is next.
Have you ever had a pet dog or puppy that you will always love? It all started when we were at the puppy farm. We were deciding what puppy to get and Darcey (now known as Cece) “ruff, ruff!” She said, she spoke to me, our family knew she was the one. On our way home she was so cute! all of the sudden we knew that she was a Rosica because she threw up on my sister (like all of our other pets we had they all threw up on my only sister), but she had a towel around her. The rest of the ride was fine but when we got home she hid under my couch. Then after a month or so she got used to us. My dog, Cece, is my favorite pet out of the three we had (and have). Those are our favorite pets!
Bunny Surprise by: Morgan C.
The day I got my bunnies was a day I would never forget. It was so exciting! It all started when my mom got a text from my pop pop saying that we could come over to where he was working. I refused until my mom said there was a surprise there. Motivated by the idea of a surprise, I decided to go.
When I got there we had donuts and apple juice. Then pop pop brought me a big cardboard box. “Open it” he said. I opened it, and inside there where two one month old bunnies! I was overjoyed by the fact that I finally got bunnies. I had been wanting bunnies for a long time and I finally got some. We took them home, and named them Fluffy, and Po. This is why the day I got my bunnies was a day I would never forget
I Flew an Airplane by Noah V.
The instructor pushed the throttle forward. I felt the roar of the engine powering up inside my headphones. I saw us pass the point of no return, then I slowly pulled the stick towards me. The nose of the plane pulled up and I saw us slowly fly up into the air!
That was a moment that I will never forget. It all started on one day in October. So one day (my birthday) my family gave me an adventure flight (in which YOU get to fly the plane) at Doylestown Airport. We had 3 cancelations due to the large amount of wind, but finally, on one weekend, we went to the airport.
Once we got to the airport I met the instructor. We first had a small pre-flight briefing, and then we went to the plane! We started up the engine, next we taxied to the runway, and then took off!
We flew over my house and the Dublin Sewage Plant. Then we went to the Pennridge High School and took some pictures. We landed at The Pennridge Airport and took off again. At the Pottstown Municipal Airport we did a Touch-And-Go, which is basically a landing, then taking off.
Once we landed back at Doylestown, we parked the plane, took a few pictures, and went home. Wow, that was an amazing experience that I will never forget!
Playdate by Alyssa G. and Olivia F.
We couldn’t wait for our playdate! We didn’t know it would be very weird. First when Alyssa came to my house we went to the basement and went crazy with bubble wrap. Crunch! Blurb! Crack! We were so bored. We kept blurting, cracking, and crunching until we had a great idea. We wanted to go in Olivia’s room to play in her bed. We were jumping! Rolling! And crashing! Then we got bored and decided to go outside for a little walk. When we were walking back to Olivia’s house we saw a playset. Olivia said she kind of new the people who owned the playset so we started to play on it. We were worried someone would see us. So we kept playing for a bit then we ran to Olivia’s house, but I accidentally ran into their bush.
After that we decided to go roller skating. Once we got there we were so unprofessional. Once we got to the rink we fell on our booties so many times. Alyssa fell 6 times, and I fell 20 times. Boom! Boom! Boom! We weren’t sure how many times we fell, but I know it was a lot of times. After falling around 100 times we went to get snacks. I got Oreos and Olivia got Sweetish Fish and Sour Patch Kids, then we decided to go home. In the car Oliva asked me if she could have a quarter of my Oreo for two Sour Patch Kids. I said no, then Olivia said, “three?” Alyssa then said no again, and I responded, “four?” She said no again as I asked her if she would give me a quarter of her Oreo for five Sour Patch Kids. “No,” Alyssa said then I asked her if she would take six. “No,” Alyssa said, “seven?” I asked and she said yes! When we finally got home we fought Olivia’s brother, Peyton. Then Alyssa’s dad came and then she went home.

My Dancing Friend by Michaela B.
It was the summer and almost about to go into 1st grade, when my best friend, Olivia told me something that I will never forget! Olivia was going to take dance with me for the first time! I was so happy! At first, I froze. I was speechless! My mom was so happy that she was going to teach a new student! Our first day in school was great.
After school, we went to dance. As we walked in my mom’s dance studio, Olivia’s face sparkled with amazement. I know that studio so well. When we started dance, Olivia was little bit shy, but she was really good. At the end of class, I could see that she wanted to do it again.
Now, Olivia and I dance every Monday and Tuesday together smiling at each other. I will never forget when Olivia started to dance with me.
Our First Win! by Noah C. and Will M.
Hello, this Noah and Will! We are excited to talk about our championship game!
The day of the championship game we were so excited, especially since we were on the same team! The other team got up to bat first, and they got seven points. Later into the game our team got three points. At the last inning we were losing by two, 12 to 14. We were batting and we got one more point, 13 to 14. Then the other team struck out two of our players! There were two outs, we were still losing by one, 13 to 14. Then, Noah hit a double! The player on third base went home. The score was now 14 to 14. Then, Noah stole third base! I hit a single, and Noah ran home! We had won the game! A bunch of people were cheering! We congratulated the other team. That is our story of our championship game.
Train Ride by Tyler F.
Have you ever been on a train ride on your birthday? Well, in August I went on one for my birthday. On my tenth birthday, I went on a train adventure in St. Kitts. I went on a very thrilling train ride. First, we got on the train and it went really slow at first. After about five minutes, the train started moving a little faster. Next, we got juice from the person who worked at the bar.
By the time we got our juice, a choir with three people sang some foreign songs to us. We finished our juice just as the choir was done singing. My mother told the choir that it was my birthday. The next time the choir came, the sang happy birthday to me. My mom recorded the song. I smiled the whole time.
On the rest of the train ride, we looked out the window and we saw schools, children, volcanic rocks, animals, houses, and lots of mountains. We also crossed a lot of narrow bridges. When we looked out the window, I was so scared because our train was hanging off of the tracks. Phew, we made it over the bridge, I said, relieved.
Finally, after an hour and a half, our train ride came to an end. Screech! Our train stopped and we got on the bus back to the cruise. Oh my, what a fun train ride that was! As you can see I had a very fun tenth birthday.
First Goal in Soccer by Ricardo G.
Have you ever scored the first goal you ever made? How did it feel? The first time I scored the goal was at school. I was playing a soccer game with my friends when the ball came to me. I wanted to score, but someone got the ball from me. So, I had to get the ball back. Finally, after a lot of work, I got the ball. I passed the ball since I was open. My friend passed the ball to me and it was my great opportunity to score a goal. Right then is happened…..wooooooooooosh! The ball when right past the post and into the goal. I was amazed and proud of myself at the same time. Finally, the recess aide blew the whistle, and the game ended. Final score 1:0. This was a proud first moment!
Football by Matt B. and Dhilan V.
Have you ever heard of the sport called football? Well, in football a lot of great things have happened to us. We’ve made touchdowns, interceptions, and many more.
You might think of me as the touchdown master, but I will never forget my first touchdown. It was in flag football I hadn’t got the ball. My coach put me in as running back. The ball was snapped. I got the ball and I went straight and BAM I was in the end zone.
By: Matthew
You might think of me as the interception master, but I will never forget the time I got my very first interception. The quarterback threw the ball. I was covering Jordan. I went in front of the ball and caught the ball and ran for the end zone and made the touchdown.

Those are the great things that have happened to us.

The Epic Deep Run Soccer Tournament by Zoe R.
The Epic Deep Run Soccer Tournament
Whoooooooooosh! Whaaaaaaaaaaaammmm! I shot a goal that went soaring into the corner of that net! The goalie had no chance blocking that one! Have you ever been in a soccer game in a tournament that is so tense, but so awesome at the same time? I’m in one now and I feel tense, excited, and somehow I feel ready.
The game was against the Brazil team and they were really really good. In fact, I’d consider them great. Anyway, the game was tied 1-1 and I was a natural defender and I sometimes played keeper (goalie) but I was in defense so I was determined to win this game. My coach told me “a defender can’t win the game they can only same it”. My coach said the same with a goalie. “a goalie can’t win the game they can only save it”. Back to the game! My teammate, Sophia was streaking down the field “Whoooooooooooooooooooosh!” with the ball at her feet and seemed as if she was going for a single goal! As she entered the 18yard box and then right outside the 6 her foot made contact with the ball… “Whooooooooooooooooooosh!” “Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam!” Her foot made contact with the ball… wham!!! It was like a rocket! It went soaring into the right corner high in the air! I was so amazed, I was speechless! That was an amazing shot and goal! That was a little bit overwhelming but we were up one goal and being in defense I was anxious to not give our goalie and pressure, and so I moved up to the half way line, and was trying to not let the other team get past the half way line so the ball was in the other team’s territory almost the whole game! This seemed to be a good strategy, at least against this team!
The next game in the tournament has just begun! We are against the Holland team which had a really good offender but the rest of the team was not that good. It turned out that the really good offender was a big threat!! Us defenders had to work really hard to keep that ball near their goal not ours!!! Anyway, the good player on the other team, Clair was running down the field, oh by the way she is a midfielder, anyway, she was running down the field into our territory nearly in the 18yard box when my other defender, Lauran, made an epic slide tackle which Clair jumped over but it slowed her down and that gave me the chance to steal the ball! I ran forward and as she taped the ball in front of her I jumped in front and she shot the ball at me! It hurt me but I didn’t stop! At least I blocked the ball! (that was the only good part about it!) Then as soon as we tapped the ball into play, we were headed for a goal and we did it! Maddie scored it! She sent it into the right hand bottom corner of the goal! The whistle blew to signal the end of the game! Wow! We had done it again!
We were at kick-off in the last game, but if we win or tie it we will have 1 more game! So we were at kick-off and we had tap so we taped it to start the game! Sophie had the ball at her feet and was sprinting down the field going for another goal!! She did it!! She scored the goal in less than 2 minutes of the game! That must be a record, well at least for her! Well anyway, we were up one point, and we wanted more goals for us, and absolutely no goals against us! We played for 25 more minutes, and then the ref blew his whistle to say that that was the end of the first half! We had not scored anymore, but neither did the other team, so it was 1-0 to us! Ok, back to the game! The second half had just begun, and the other team had the ball to start at least! Well what I meant was Lauran stole the ball, and ran forward, then passed to Maddie, who then passed back to me and I hit a long shot, and it was delivered right to Sophie’s feet who was in front of the goal and shot the ball into the back right corner to make a goal!! Then the ref blew that trusty whistle to signal our win, and the end of the game! Wow! This is the best luck in the world! We are in the finals! Wow! I never thought I would make it close to this but anyway, we were in the finals! We were against the Germany team! I had never vs. this team, but if they made it to the finals with us I’m sure they can’t be that bad! They are probably as good as us, or maybe even better! So we made it and we have one more game! We were at the kick-off of the game and we didn’t have the ball to start! The Germany team has a really good offender AND a really good defender! We are going to have to play our best game this season! The game was off and Germany was in our territory and were in front of our goal!! This was really scary!! Then our goalie Sophie threw the ball really far and Maddie took the ball into Germany’s territory! We may have a come- back here!! J This is looking promising to us! yelled our coach! I believed him because Maddie just scored! We were up one but Germany tapped the ball into play and they were headed to our goal! They scored!!! Noooooooo!! That was upsetting! They scored!! Wow!! Well we had tap so we tapped it in and Maddie passed back to me and I hit a long kick and I got the ball to the 18yard line but then their goalie snatched it and punted it and then it was in our territory! The ref blew the whistle to say that the half was over and it was tied 1-1! We had a pep talk and then we tapped the ball into play! Then Maddie got tackled and the other team got the ball and then they ran forward in front of the goal, and shot the ball into the left corner and bumped up the score to 1-2 to Germany. We played the ball in by tapping the ball into play, and shortly after that the other team stole the ball from us and had possession of the ball! We were very mad at ourselves but we still thought we had a chance to win the game!! Germany had the ball and so they may score again! Then, I ran forward and stole the ball, and started to run down the field, and I got tackled and gave up the ball to Germany once again!! This is worrying because I’m the defender and I fell down so nobody was in the back! They scored again by the time I got back in the defensive position! This pretty much game over for us because there was one minute left in the game! By the time we set up the ball for play to begin, the game had ended!! This was at least not the worst loose I’d ever ended with but it still didn’t feel good. We shook hands and thanked the ref. This was an epic day!
Vacations by Addy S., Annelise W., Shanna K.
Hello, we are Shanna, Annelise, and Addy. We are going to talk about our different trips to Disney World, starting with Shanna, to Annelise, to me, Addy.
Swoosh! Swish! Sploosh! I just got water up my nose. I jumped out of the pool. Dripping wet, I grabbed my towel and walked to my dad. An iguana following me from when I pushed him or her into the pool. I asked my dad if I could go back to the place we were staying to get my clothes. He looked at me then looked to the iguana and said, “if that iguana is in the house, we’re leaving right away!”
Now to Annelise’s trip!
Have you ever experienced the best time of your life during a vacation? Well, at Disney I had fun splashing in the pool with my daddy! Splish! Splash! When I got up from being underwater, my nose had water in it, along with my mouth, it had water in it too. Once I got out of the water, a dance off was happening! There were two teams, team one and team two. The guy told me to go to team two. All of the people were very nice on my team. We got creative with our dance moves and won! Our prize was a big bag of candy for everyone on team two! Team one got a prize too, a smaller bag of candy. I absolutely loved my day!
Last but not least to Addy’s trip!
Splash! Swish! Sploosh! I was swimming in the water. I was cool, blue, and clear like glass. After swimming my friends, my family, and I went to a hotel to swim. We went home to dry off, watch a movie, and eat lunch. We then played and played. While we were playing we decided to chase geckos

Ahhhhhhhhh!!! Have you ever gone to a Polish Festival? my friend, Annelise, and I went to a Polish Festival once, and you won’t believe what they had at a Festival! They had rides! When we got there we walked around a bit, then we got very hungry. So we went to the cart with pierogies. YumJ. I love pierogies. Next, we went to the ride area. The first ride we went on was my favorite ride, but Annelise was scared so I said that everything was going to be just fine. Lastly, we got snow cones and went back to my house. We had so much fun together.

Everyone have their stuff? Let’s get on the road!
Let’s go team! All of the cheer moms screamed as we were at the Sun Bank Center which is where the competition at. First when we all got there we went and signed in. Then the whole cheer team went and found their seats. After that we went down to the warm up mat and warmed up. After that we all had to leave the coaches and wait in line to get ready to perform.
After that we all went on the mat and preformed. It was awesome! Then once we preformed the whole team got Dip and Dots. After we all got to go with our parents for like an hour because all the girls still hadn’t eaten any food yet so we had to eat. When we were getting food I got this blue sweat shirt with my name on the back! All the food was disgusting! After we all sat in our seats for about five hours! Not kidding! Finally, it was awards ceremony and we won first place!!!!!!!! It was done, at 2:00 am! I slept the whole next day! So in result it was the best day ever with my friends!
Trip #3 by: Giavanna
Everyone have their stuff? Let’s get on the road! My friend, Kamryn, and I went to the Dublin Fair. It was so amazing! We went on so many rides we didn’t want to leave! First, we went on the scrambler I was scared at first, but once I got on it was nothing. Kamryn and I were laughing so hard our pants almost fell down. We also went on the pirate ship. My mom went on with us. I was in the middle, my mom was on the left edge, and Kamryn was on the right edge. Kamryn didn’t even feel any butterflies in her stomach, but my mom definitely did. She was yelling and laughing even when we were going backwards! Right after we ran out of tickets I said “I wish that someone could give us tickets.” This guy walked up to us and asked if we wanted his tickets because his little girl was too little and she couldn’t go on any rides. So Kamryn and I screamed after he walked away. We were so happy! So we went on more fun rides. Finally, when we were so tired out and used up all of our tickets Kamryn and I got some goodies to eat. I got a snow cone and Kamryn got cotton candy so of course I took some of her cotton candy when she wasn’t looking. Finally, mom and I dropped her off after an amazing day. I walked her inside and gave her a hug and wave goodbye. The Dublin Fair was so fun, I wish I could do it again.
First Bike Ride by Yurika Y. and Leliani S.
Have you ever learned how to ride a bike? Well we have, and its lots of fun.! You could ride your bike to a candy store, to an ice cream shop, and you could go to a bike trail just like we did. When we arrived at the bike trail we raced through the Dublin park in a flash. When we finished the race we zoomed downhill to the ice cream shop because we were scorching hot. After we finished our creamy chocolate fudge ice cream cones we decided that we wanted to have something more sweet like candy. Then we rode our bikes to the candy shop. After we finished our chocolate fudge bars we got really full and tired then we decided to go home. On the way home, we found a baby kitten on the grass meowing, and we picked it up. We agreed that Yurika could take it home and name it. She named it Myrtle. We rode to Leilani’s house and said bye. Yurika rode to her house, ate, and went to bed. So did Leilani .
Getting our First Pets by Alexa R. and Gabriella C.
Blub Blub, Meow Meow, Wolf Wolf, Bark Bark, Squeak Squeak.......I'm at the SPCA picking out our pets. My siblings and I were running down the stair case almost diving into the Christmas tree. I yanked the pickle (an ornament) out of the tree. I'm going to the SPCA to look at all the animals. There are so many animals here. For example, there are dogs, cats, hamsters, and even bunnies and turtles. But then a cute cat caught my eye. He is black and white. I named him SOX. He is the cutest cat ever! I love him!!!!!!!!!!
Pet Memory by Gabriella
My siblings and I ran down the staircase almost diving into the Christmas tree. I put my hand into the Christmas tree and pulled out the pickle ornament. Then, I opened up the present that went with the pickle and inside there was a card. It said “look where we keep our socks.” There were many clues to read that took us all around the house. We were really excited to see what would happen next. The last clue card said, “look in your parent’s bathroom.” My siblings and I dashed upstairs into the bathroom. Inside there was a cage. We looked inside and saw a hamster huddled in her tube. It took a while but finally my dad was able to get her out of the cage. We named her “Slipper” because she was soft and squirmy. This was the best Christmas ever.
Disney World Ride of my Life: by: Sanjana S.
Have you ever been on the greatest ride of your life? Well, when I was in Disney World for the first time ever we went on Expedition Everest. My cousin did not want to go on, but my dad, brother, uncle, and me willingly went on. We had so much fun! At one point in the ride we were in some type of cave. We were going up and suddenly I noticed that the tracks had ended. Then we started to go backwards and there was a YETI! It was just standing there! It got me pretty scared. When we were going backwards we changed to a different track and ended up going forward till the end of the ride. It was the greatest experience ever.
Once we got of I was a little woozy. My cousin wished he went on the ride, he couldn’t because no one wanted to go again and he didn’t want to go alone. We went on some other really cool rides but, nothing made me more scared than Expedition Everest. No ride was more thrilling than Expedition Everest.
Before we went to the hotel I got a really cool souvenir. It was the shape of a microphone, but the part you hold on to was blue and the part you speak in to was a white ball with strings coming out that have lights and when you pushed the button on the blue part it would make the strings go really fast and the lights light up. It was a really cool souvenir. Once we got to the hotel we had McDonalds and went to sleep. That night I knew that was a day I would never forget.
Riding Tower of Terror, My favorite Ride! by Tyler S.
Imagine seeing all of Disney World… all at once. Try riding a scary ride, then dropping a couple hundred feet. Don’t eat much before you ride the amazing Tower of Terror.
Tower of Terror is a HUGE dropper ride in Disney World, Florida. It has a big piece of glass so you see all of Disney World! They have illusions of ghosts that scared me a lot (I was only 5 when this happened).
First, you go in a really long line to get into the ride. Then, you take an elevator up to the seats that you sit in when you go up, and then drop. Next, the ride goes forwards. You see ghosts while you go through a creepy, haunted hotel. After that you run into a dark space, that’s when you go up… and up… and up. It feels like you’re being lifted up by a giant hand. Then… BAM! You can see all of Disney World! You’re up at the top of the amazing Tower of Tower!
You’ll only see all of Disney for a moment, because you drop so fast that you feel like you’re flying, and it may even feel like you’re flying in slow motion! Be sure careful and hold on to the seat, also, don’t eat too much food or candy before riding this ride. Have fun on this very scary adventure above Disney World, Florida, my favorite ride: Tower of Terror!

Our Favorite Legos by Jared P. and Lucca N.
Hi, this is Lucca and Jared! We are really excited to talk about our fun summer days, playing with Legos! Starting with Jared to me, Lucca.
It was a warm summer day when it happened, I got a green Lego piece and started to make something modified. It was hard to make something modified because it took 425 pieces to make. Three hours later I had finished making the rainbow modified. Then I decided I wanted it to be yellow. Then another three hours later I had finished making the modified yellow, then I added some awesome accessories. Later I had finished the modified altogether. It took 850 pieces to make and remake and, or change the color. Also it was the first modified made of Legos in the world.
Now onto Lucca’s story!
It was 10:00 in the morning and I had just woken up. Then, I went downstairs, to my Lego table and started to build a house. It took a while to build, but a while later it was done. Then I had to change the color to yellow because the original color was blue, and I didn’t like the color blue on a house.

A Mouse in The Nutcracker By: Claire D.
Have you ever performed in a show, or even better, on your birthday?! This year, my dance school, (DVDA or Delaware Valley Dance Academy) performed the ballet, The Nutcracker. I was a mouse in the battle scene.
The best part was the show when I danced on my birthday. After the show, I received a delightful gift: a Nutcracker! It was from my friend, Elise, who was a mouse with me. I was so happy that I gave her a big hug and said thank you.
When we got home, we watched a movie and got some good rest after a tiring day. I was happy and sad that The Nutcracker was over, and I was looking forward to my next performance. What an exciting day I had!
A Dorney Splash! by Dhwani B., Olivia V., and Noelle S.
Zip! Zoom! Splash!! We zoomed down the bumpy waterslide. “I can’t wait to go on that waterslide again!” We were at Dorney Park. Noelle’s mom took us to Dorney Park in the summer. We loved all the rides, but the large white waterslide was our favorite!
We had fun going down a large, white, waterslide. You wouldn’t ever believe how fun it was going down that slide. It was huge! We had to go up it multiple flights of stairs to get up to the top. When I looked down, it was magical! The only bad part was we had to wait a long time in a line to get to the actual slide part.
When we even had a chance to glance at the slide we were dazzled! To be honest, when we were going down we were half way freaked out. After we got to the bottom we couldn’t wait to go again, even though we would have to wait in that huge line again!
If we ever had a change to go again we would definitely go to that slide first.
