Monday Memo
Week of February 8
January Screencast--Thank You
I want to thank each of you for watching the January 22nd screencast and completing the subsequent questions. I will send answers in separate email. I have an articulation meeting at the elementary school on February 19th, which means that I will not be here to facilitate our regularly scheduled special education department meeting, so your February 19, 2016 will also be in screencast form. The focus of that screencast will be about GA Milestones testing accommodations and LRE statements. I look forward to seeing "virtually" all of you (get it, smile).
File Audits
Ms. Caravella and I are steadily conducting supplemental file reviews. Please be certain that your supplemental files are organized and IEP signature pages are scanned into IEP online. We will each follow-up with an email once we have checked your files.
Early Release
Early Release is scheduled for February 24 and February 25th. As per usual, administration is asking all regular education teachers NOT to schedule conferences on this day for any student with an IEP. However, please note that we are allowing teachers to schedule "student-led" conference as this should only involve the student talking to their parents. If you want the rationale for this addition, I will gladly explain.
February Birthdays
February 1--N. Orzech
February 13--M. Mendes
February 16--K. Boudreaux
February 14--K. Peterson
February 19--J. Schneider
CoTeaching PLUs
I want to thank you all those who attended last week's CoTeaching Workshop and Planning session. I had lots of fun with each of you, and I hope that the day was a productive one for you and your coteaching partner. Please remember that you will need to try using one or more of the coteaching strategies on six occasions. In the next week or so, I will send updates regarding the amount that you have already completed. I will also post powerpoint which contains data slides on Eclass later this week.
STORI Half Day Planning (This Wednesday)
Please be reminded that you will have STORI half day planning on February 10th. We are using the same planning schedule that we used in November. I will send update later on this week. Be certain that you bring your data collection folders to the planning session.
