Free trade is the unrestricted purchase and sale of goods and services between countries without the imposition of constraints such as tariffs, duties and quotas.


A free trader wants to trade more with other countries and wants companies to compete aganist other counties.More trade means more supplies and companies would grow stronger. There are other people who can specialize in certain types of jobs that people in theiir country can't.


Is the economic policy of restraining trade between states (countries) through methods such as tariffs on imported goods, restrictive quotas, and a variety of other government regulations designed to allow (according to proponents) fair competition between imports and goods and services.


Protectionist want to decrease trade with other contries and feel like they shouldn't let companies compete with other countries until they are stronger.Also they want to protect peoples jobs from being taken.Portectionist want to stop trading by putting trade barriers such as tariffs.
