Hats-Off Teacher Award Recipient
We truly have the BEST staff! The "Hats off" Award nominations keep rolling in.
Mrs. Thomas was recently nominated by a pleased parent who wrote, "Mrs. Thomas is the reason my son wants to go to school. She knows how to motivate him to learn and to enjoy school." We are so grateful to have Mrs. Thomas on Team WMS!
To give "Hats off" recognition to an outstanding WMS teacher or staff member, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/9HJfpLHf5HeMDS3Y9
My Weld RE-4 Hero
"I do know one thing for sure, that Mrs. Jensen sparked a light for me this year and for the better. She helped me grow as a writer, a singer, and as a human being." - Leah G., 2020-21 8th Grade Student
Leah partook in the Weld RE4 Education Foundation "My Weld RE-4 Hero" Essay Contest. Leah was the recipient of a $100 prize sponsored by Bank of Colorado (Windsor Branch), and Mrs. Jensen was awarded a gift certificate to Knowledge Bound. They were both recognized at our August Board of Education meeting. Congratulations to Leah and Mrs. Jensen!
Wheel of Windsor
Mrs. Brandl and Mrs. Brown love getting to know your students! Students have learned how to request a meeting with a counselor and we’re connecting new students to the district with peers.
Back-to-School Tips for Students:
1. Establish Routines -Consider developing routines around after-school time, dinnertime, evenings, bedtime, wake-up time, and before school.
2. Set Goals -A new school year means a new start. Setting goals allows students to see what they have achieved previously and helps them plan for what they want to achieve in the future.
3. Create a Homework Hub -A great way to get organized for school (especially for older students) is to create an area for homework and study. Having a designated place to do schoolwork can help students establish a routine, too.
