Good Evening FMS Families!

My name is Beth Houf and I will be the principal at Fulton Middle School next year. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your family! Although I don't officially begin my new position until the fall, I wanted to start the process of getting to know each other and to get your feedback for what makes an amazing middle school. Next week I will send an electronic feedback form (paper will also be available) that can be completed together with your child regarding goals for FMS in areas of communication, student engagement, student behavior systems, building culture and climate, leadership, family and community engagement and any other areas you would like to offer suggestions. For those families that are moving on to the high school next year, your views and perspectives would be very much appreciated as well. I will also send a slightly different form to our upcoming 6th grade families. These forms will be completely anonymous. Family and community voice is very important to me in the decision making of a school and I look forward to hearing your feedback for the future.

A little about me...

My husband Todd and I have two sons. Paul will join me at FMS as a 6th grader next year and Dawson is in preschool. I am a HUGE St. Louis Cardinals fan and love MU Tiger football! I have been the proud principal at McIntire Elementary for the past seven years. Previous to my time at McIntire, I taught at Bartley Elementary and in the Jefferson City Public Schools. I am a very passionate educator that truly believes that ALL students can succeed through the development of a safe, engaging learning environment. My personal mission that I have developed as an administrator is to help to create a school that students, teachers and families are beating down the doors to get in each day instead of out. I look forward to the chance to meet and work with every one of you! Thank you so much for all you do as a partner in your child's education. I truly am honored to have the opportunity to serve as your child's principal.
