Burlingame Intermediate School

Dear BIS Family & Friends,
Happy Fall! The time has changed and so has the weather. Please check in with your child about bringing a jacket or sweatshirt to school. It is very chilly in the morning. We also have MANY lost jackets and sweatshirts hanging on our rack that miss their owners. If you are missing an article of clothing, please come and check it out.
For all the Veterans that have served our country, we want to thank you for your service. We cannot image the sacrifices you have made. We cannot take our freedom for granted and have our Veterans to thank for making sure we continue to have those freedoms each day. With Gratitude!
Speaking of Gratitude, I want to invite the community to a Party to Celebrate BIS' National Blue Ribbon Award. SAVE the DATE, Friday, December 16th at 6:30pm at the Burlingame Community Center. It will be a Celebration Party and Dance for all student and their parents. We want the whole family to come! We are charging a small fee to cover the necessities, but don't let that deter you from coming. Just let one of us know you want a ticket to join in the fun! We will take care of your ticket. Order your Tickets Here.
Identifications Cards (IDs)- Students should have their student ID everyday.
Please have your child carry their BIS ID Card with them. Your student needs the card for library, lunch, and other school related activities. Please share with your student(s) that they will need their ID card daily at school.
Warmly,

Covid Tests are Coming Home
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is recommending that kids be sent home with COVID Tests before Thanksgiving Break (to be used before returning) to promote early detection and implement infection control measures per each jurisdiction. These tests are to prevent the spread of COVID and help curb prevalence of infection and spread thereof. Tests will go home with students towards the end of the week of Nov. 14th. We ask that each family test your BSD students prior to sending them back after Thanksgiving. Thank you for your help.
Food Drive Success - Thank you!
