One More Year for the Books
This school year is finally almost in the rear-view mirror. In just a few days, the energy that once filled schools and buses are about to be a memory. Thank you to all of our bus monitors, MPV drivers and all of our CDL drivers and staff for a job well done. We transport more than 20,000 students on a daily basis and thanks to all in Student Transportation Services, we are able to provide a service that leads to equitable educational opportunities which drive student success. Thank you for another year filled with memorable moments.

Perfect Attendance and Retirement
The Student Transportation Services Directors from the 4 Service Centers honored those from each location who had perfect attendance. Also honored were those who have decided to turn the page and start a new chapter as they trade in their bus keys for a tv remote to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. The festivities took place at the Frazier House on Spring Street.
Reasonable Assurance
If you did not complete the Reasonable Assurance Form indicating your preference to keep or relinquish your route, by default your assigned route will go up for bid. Note: the intercession and redesign routes will no longer exist for SY 23/24. All 23/24 routes will be on the base calendar. Please reach out to Isaac Murrilo at ismurillo@dallasisd.org or (972) 925-4961 to let STS know about your plans to return for the 23/24 School Year.
2023/2024 Route Bidding: June 20 - June 27, 2023
Employees eligible to bid will be notified via email by June 6th. Like in previous years, the bidding process will be done by submitting an electronic bid. Only employees who have opted to not keep their 22/23 routes, those who did not submit the 23/24 route acknowledgment form, or have no routes assigned are eligible to participate in the bidding. Furthermore, you must have up-to-date credentials and certifications to place a bid. If submissions are received, you will be removed from the bidding process. If you do not submit a bid during the bidding period, then a route will be determined by the Service Center.
Maintaining Driver Status
The point of contact for questions on DOT renewals and Bus certification classes can be made to our new Credential and Training Coordinator, Nina Dang at ndang@dallasisd.org or (972) 925-5048. Since salary payments are based on certain credentials reflecting educational and experience attainments, the absence of the records reflecting such credentials from the personnel file may jeopardize continued employment with the District.
