Message from the Principal
We made it through our first full week of classes! While I have always valued the educational partnership with our families, our current circumstances has amplified my appreciation. Thank you for working with us as we all master our routines in distance learning. Thank you for reaching out by Zoom, phone, email, Classtag and attending your scheduled meetings for additional support. Thank you for teaching with us!
As we journey down this path, it is important to remind you that our live meetings are mandated. If your child is not attending these meetings and you are not communicating with your teacher through other means, your child will be marked absent from school. I cannot stress enough the importance of regularly communicating with your teacher so that our attendance records reflect your child's participation. It is also required that your child turns in their completed work and picks up their new packet on the weekly schedule set by your teacher.
I appreciate the many families who have scheduled regular meetings with their teacher. As you continue with these weekly visits, please be mindful to arrive on time so that your teacher can offer as much support as possible and not impact their meetings that follow.
Next week, a few of our teachers we will be working with very small groups of students who require specific program supports. For this reason, you may see our school buses running in the community. We are truly doing our best to meet the unique needs of our school community while adhering to the COVID-19 health and safety guidelines. Thank you for your understanding.
As always, please reach out to the school office or child's teacher if you need any assistance during this time.
Take Care,
Kim Little
