PREPARING FOR SUCCESS
Below is a video of Zig Ziglar talking about preparation, success, and the link to stress. We all talk about how stressful testing can be for students, teachers, and parents. Well, as Ziglar states, if we prepare appropriately, we will be more likely to be successful. Below you will find some information to help your students prepare for the upcoming GA Milestones.
Take 2 minutes of your time and listen, let your kids listen, and let's turn STRESSED into DESSERTS!!
GA Milestones Preparation
When we return from winter break, teachers and students will begin the final leg of preparation for the upcoming GA Milestones Assessment. These final 6 weeks of preparation are crucial to student success.
However, preparing for the GA Milestones does not happen solely within the walls of East Paulding Middle School. Below, you will find out how our parents and community can assist our school, our teachers, and most importantly, our students (your children) with preparing for the upcoming GA Milestones.
If students are not present at school, they are missing valuable instruction provided by the teacher. We understand that there are times where illness occurs and life happens, however, we need our students here! Below are some stats about EPMS student attendance. We need your help!
Students with perfect attendance - 139
Students with 6-10 absences - 190
Students with 10 or more absences - 119
March 2015 Attendance Rate - 95.6%
March 2016 Attendance Rate Goal - 98%
Please help our students and our school by making every effort to ensure that our students are present at school every day for the next six weeks!
USA Test Prep
EPMS has purchased USA Test Prep access for every student in each subject area (writing, language arts, math, science, and social studies).
All students have been provided with a username and password. Please encourage your students to spend some time on the site and ask them about our current USA Test Prep Challenge!
Below, you will find some links that will support you and your student as you navigate USA Test Prep at home.
