Do's & Don'ts
of Interviewing Skills
What do I do in an Interview?
When going to an Interview either for a school or job, Knowing what to do and not do is very important! So here are the important Do's and Don'ts while doing an Interview.
Do: Dress Proffesionally
Dressing like you just woke up and threw on whatever you could find is not acceptable.
For Women: Wear a suit with a skirt or pants. Never show cleavage and make sure that you skirt isn't too short. To test this, Put you arms to the side. Your skirt should not be shorter than your fingertips.
For Men: Wear a suit! It should be well fitting and clean. Iron your collar shirt to get rid of the wrinkles and don't wear a bright-tacky tie.
DON'T: Be Unprepared
Make sure you know some information about the job/school you're interviewing for. Always have your resume and recommendations. Being unprepared will get you nowhere.
DO: Talk Professionally And With Respect
For Example: If your boss treated you unfairly, Don't start talking trash. Instead, say "My last job undervalued my skills and was treated unfairly."
