New Albany Police and Plain Township Fire to conduct drill next week
New Albany-Plain Local Schools values our partnership with the, New Albany Police Department and Plain Township Fire Department. As a best practice, it is essential for our first responders to run drills that help replicate a “real-world” emergency situation. We will be working together to provide an opportunity for a full-scale safety drill on the New Albany Schools Campus July 7, 8 and 9, from 8 a.m to 4 p.m. A full-scale exercise integrates multiple components of a developed safety plan including involving emergency responders from both police and fire departments.
The location of the drill is the New Albany Intermediate School. Please be aware that you may see several emergency vehicles in or around the Intermediate parking lot during these days. In addition, the City of New Albany will be providing signage to inform the community that a drill is in progress. As a school district, we are grateful for the dedication and commitment to continuous improvement by our police and fire departments.
