Kindness Retreat
Shannon Park 5th Graders had the opportunity to participate in Youth Frontier Kindness Retreat, a high energy retreat to empower kids to be “everyday heroes” by using kindness to include others, to be respectful and to make their school a better place. We are grateful for the opportunity for our students and for the RHS students that volunteered their time to serve as small group leaders.

The seasonal event will include longtime favorites like the Junk Food Walk and activities with Shannon Park teachers & staff as well as newer additions like food trucks with a variety of dining options available and the Kindness Council Beverage tent.
The Site Council has been working hard on preparing the Silent Auction and are excited to showcase the items available for bidding. In years past, items like Yeti Coolers, front row seats to music shows, and overnight hotel stays have been some of the most sought after items. The ever popular raffle will also return with your chance to enter to win a gaming system, arts and crafts, and outdoor fun equipment.
Volunteers are still needed for this event. If you would like to help, please reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator at: SPEVolunteerCoordinator@gmail.com
Silent Auction Donations and Business Sponsorships Needed

Our classroom baskets will be available to bid on online along with all our other donations! View your child's classroom basket theme here.

Setting Up a Dreambox Parent Account
The Family Insight Dashboard allows you to track student progress in DreamBox and receive email tips on what your child is working on as well as what you can do to support their learning at home. Dreambox is an adaptive program that adjusts the difficulty based on the data it receives as the student completes tasks. Due to this, it is important to remember not to help your student complete the tasks or it may get too hard too quickly.
Login to your student’s school account on a PC/laptop or Chromebook. This feature is not available from your student’s iPad.
Use the URL: https://play.dreambox.com/login/jk34/9emg
Or, go to sp.district.org
Click on “Menu” - “Families” - “Student Resources” - “Dreambox”
Your student will then need to log in to their account. In most cases, this is the same as their Collab account. If they don’t recall their login information and are in kindergarten or first grade, click on “No classroom code? Click here.” and select your student’s classroom. They can find their name and picture password.
Once logged in, click on the “Set up parent access” link.
You will then be prompted to enter your personal email and create a password for your family account. You can add multiple students. You then will be able to log in from your own device and access information as your student completes Dreambox milestones, read suggested related activities you could do at home and view their standards dashboard to monitor their academic progress. You can also view the activities that your student has recently completed to try it out yourself without impacting your student’s account.
